That is a high jump. I jumped from some pretty high up places when I worked on the Pride of America cruise ship in Hawaii, but never from that high up! The concerns where we were jumping was the tide, the waves, and the sharp lava rocks we jumped from. It was at a place called The End Of The Earth, in Kona Hawaii. We were told not to swim or jump if no locals were already doing this, but we didn't take this advice! The water looked ok, but it was very deceiving. I jumped which was fine, it was the swimming back to the sharp lava rocks that was scary. I actually made it back to the rock and started climbing up, unfortunately the ocean had a different plan. A large swell gently picked me up from the rock and pulled me out into the ocean. I wasn't scared at first, but after 10 minutes of swimming and not getting any closer to the rocks, I started to get concerned. I kept trying with no luck. At one point I was so tired that I honestly thought I was going to drown. That thing happened that people talk about right before you die. My life flashed before me inside my mind. I almost gave up and just let myself drown. A small part of me wanted to live, so I prayed and kept trying. I swam for about another 10 minutes, I was exhausted. Luckily, or maybe I should say God, came in the form of another swell, and another swell gently placed me back on the rock. I quickly climbed up to safety and thanked God. I wasn't afraid of the water before this happened... now I have a healthy respect for the ocean.

I live on the Big Island and the water doesn't fuck around, you will die. My dumb ass almost drowned on the north shore of Oahu riding a boogie board, it was at sunset beach, the lifeguard warned us that if we didn't know how to swim to not go out because he was going to be looking out for the surfers, and not us. Learned my lesson that day.

@@cadiver1133 I definitely shouldn't have jumped that day! I jumped first... my buddy I was with jumped after me. He was a pretty overweight guy so I let him climb up the Rock first. I was okay until I did that. I definitely respect the ocean a lot more now. I grew up in Houston Texas so we would go to Galveston when I was a kid. Getting in the water there is not a big deal, much different from Hawaii.

That's a high ass jump. I live in CT, and in the summer me and my friends will boat out to Seldens creek for the cliffs there which only peak at like 40-45 feet, or go to Gillettes castle which has some cliffs at around 70 feet. Done the 70 like once, and it was terrifying, props on ripping a 90 footer at your age lmfao
