I would be scared to pick up a weapon. It may be a trap. What if a weapon or magazine is manipulated and blows up in your face? How to check for that? Disassemble and reassemble? What about the bullets in the mag? I would not risk it. If it's right after a firefight and the enemy had no time to place traps, then I may consider it and still approach with care. But not if I just find some weapon.
