Imo the best hunts I’ve had have been with guys I didn’t know. At the end of the day we’re all there to do the same thing. If the other group doesn’t want to hunt they don’t want to hunt….its a small part of waterfowl that make getting the band worth it

Met some cool dudes this past season showing up to the same field! We had kitty cornering fields so we set up shoulder to shoulder and had a great hunt on both sides of the road because of mutual respect! So not really with them but side by side and with respect it’s a cool way to know you could link up and get on some hunts together!

Simply ask them if they would like to team up and hunt the field. If they say no be the bigger person and give them the field for that day and go find another feed! Great way to make lasting memories and maybe even new buddies!

We had that situation in North Dakota last year . We let them hunt with us. This year they where back in North Dakota the same time we was and we all worked together and had some awesome hunts. No need to burn bridges.

Went to Kansas started setting up on a massive feed. Instead of the guys hunting the field next to us we told them to hop in. Made the week we were out there so much better. It added more trucks to our scouting crew and more limits!

Happened to us our first afternoon sit of the year in field we had permission in last season as well as for this year. All set up and 4 pickups pulled in! Guy came ripping over asking if we had permission , and we’re sitting here like do you have permission. We asked them to join us. So all worked out good, we teamed up and put birds on the ground. And we teamed up with each other for rest of season. So made some new buddies from it! I’d like to think common courtesy to ask fellas to join up, and have some camaraderie in waterfowl hunting sport.

See what kind of group they are, how many, cool or sketchy, talk with your group and see what kind of last second adjustments you can make to squeeze the new group into the HyVerts. If the new group doesn’t like it then flip a coin to see who stays and losing group gets the evening or next day.

I’m all about going and at least talking to them. A good buddy of mine just moved into his house and we wanted to hunt the public next to his house on opener. Someone was already out there and I just said let’s go talk to them. Turns out it was his new neighbor and now they hang out all the time. You never know unless you go talk to them!
