Gosh, that was fun! Been in similar spots but not often! And not quite that good. Great calling. Very impressive shooting with 20ga too...my compliments!

Wow! I’ve hunted AR green timber for 40 years and it’s been 5 years since I’ve had a hunt like that. Those are special! Great job shooting and great calling!

That one guy in charge is the HOLE BOSS and yes sometimes he doesn’t make the right call, but you have to have that one person in charge. I was fortunate enough to grow up in time in NE Arkansas when a hunt like this was common on PUBLIC ground. Unfortunately those days are over and will probably never be back. There is nothing quite as special as good flooded timber hunt.

Man, those minutes before shooting time were sick; hundreds of ducks falling in the hole… sensory overload for dogs and hunters. Nice shoot, props for not taking your limits.

1:10 what type of stern light is that on your boat? Is that stick lighted as well? Never seen that before.
@RustyCreasey2 жыл бұрын
Can’t recall the brand on the front. It came from mighty white marine. The stick light is made by seaclear power. Thanks for watching!

When the first groups land ,do you guys walk them off before shooting or do they swim off into the Timber? Just curious. Echo Creasey model seems to have more rasp but IDK until I try one?
@RustyCreasey2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!! They just swim off and never get up once we start shootings. And yessir you’re correct. A little more rasp for sure. You’ll dig it I think.

Awesome hunt Rusty! Your hard work through the summer pays off for sure. Just curious how long would you say you waited after shooting time before you started shooting?
@RustyCreasey2 жыл бұрын
It all depends. When you look at the sky and its full of ducks its just best to wait and let most of them set down. I'd say we try to let 80% of the birds set down. This happens mid morning some days as well. The sky will get full and we just set and wait till the bulk of them get down n the woods. Once they set down they will most likely come back the next day. Thanks for watching!
@davidmiller10812 жыл бұрын
I'm newer to duck hunting. Why does not shooting into the earlier ducks help hold more ducks longer?
@RustyCreasey2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Once they set down we can shoot and they just swim away and never fly off. So once you let the bulk of them set down they are pretty sure to come back the next day. This just helps to hold more inventory of birds. Not to mention when the ducks are there all day any others flying over will see them and then come to them. So basically it helps hold and attract more birds.

No disrespect. A lot of guns doesn't make for a good hunt. No one knows who shot what. I've never hunted flooded timber in Arkansas but man I would love to with maybe 4 or5 guys and no hen gauges. Awesome stuff

15 guns, there shouldn’t be a duck get out of the hole!
@Randy-gz8eu2 жыл бұрын
Sincere Respect but 15 guns is not a fun hunt no matter how many ducks are around or killed . Sorry

To each his own. I understand.

Well what does it matter if they're 15 guns or 1? What would you recommend being a correct number of guns allowed on a hunt?
@jaacksun46742 жыл бұрын
While all those ducks are awesome it also leaves me wondering how the hell y’all can tell who shot what. Wouldn’t be enjoyable for me having joe blow claim all the ducks

@@RustyCreasey don’t get me wrong, what YOU yourself do is outstanding but I just don’t like being guided because it takes the fun out of it for me, being the work and calling. If I were 82 and not 22 my opinion would be different. Much love from North Alabama!!
