Insane Experiment: Running a VW Golf MK7 on WD40 Instead of Diesel Fuel?!

In this wild experiment, we decided to test the limits of a VW Golf Mk7 TDI by running it on something completely unexpected: WD40! Yes, you read that right. Instead of filling up the tank with diesel fuel, we tried everyone's favorite multi-purpose lubricant to see if the car would actually start and run. Join us as we document the entire process, from filling up the tank to firing up the engine and taking the car for a spin. Will the Golf run on WD40 alone? We used to use WD40 in the spray can as starting fluid for the General Motors 350 Oldsmobile V8 diesel engine. It worked great

Please try the 20% gasoline 80% oil mixture to see if it will run. It worked wonders on my mk4 jetta tdi!

What oil or biodiesel? What was the point of this exercise? Everything you used costs more than diesel so I just don't get it. More BTUS / energy in a gallon of diesel than these others.

I thin my filtered Waste Veggie-Oil with 15% gasoline for summer and 30% for winter. I use this mixture in my All-Power 6500 Diesel Generator. It works just great.

You had to put a little gasoline in the cooking oil, to thin it out a little.

Oh, I didn't choose to destroy the car. I simply gave it a temporary promotion from being a diesel car to becoming a WD-40 powered rocket on wheels! It's all about career growth, you know 😉
