Another good one was at the US Open in a match between Roddick and Ferrer. Due to rain a water bubble formed underneath the paint of the court. When they dropped the ball on that bubble, it didn't bounce! It looked like the laws of physics stopped! They eventually moved to a different court to play the match.

@@user-vh8gm8yh6q no we don't have the frame. in the frame prior to the bounce, the ball is still descending from above the line, and in the frame after, the ball is ascending also above the line, but the bounce is in-between them and nothing indicates that the ball couldn't have bounced in, especially when it only needs to touch it not to cross it

@sloppygamer1291
@sloppygamer1291 16 күн бұрын
@@michaelmilano2684pretty sure it was something to do with his shoes being too sticky, but Novak definitely over exaggerates the problem. Whenever he struggles for balance on a shot and then misses it, he often does that for some reason. It’s probably him trying to lose the blame for his missed shot. He did the same thing against Andy in the 2015 AO final for a bit, and it threw Andy off. So could also be some sort of weird tactic as well. Not seen him do it like in this video for some years now though, so guess we’ll never truly know.

I thought it was a very old clip, when security wasn't as tight as it is these days, (pre-Monica-Seles-incident), also because the video quality is quite low. But it actually was a qualifying match for the Rotterdam ATP tournament. Guess they don't have military style security at quallies.

If there are inside posts, then the outside post doesn't count (Tiafoe v. Raonic, Garin v. Cuevas), but if there are no inside posts (Murray v. Basilashvili) then the entire net counts.
@amieres

There are doubles posts and singles post. Then there are also singles sticks. Official matches either use singles posts like in the Murray match or doubles posts with singles sticks like in the Tiafoe match. In a singles match with doubles posts and no singles sticks the whole net and posts count.
