I think people underestimate how strong it is to have no tracers. I almost never get 3rd partied because it's hard to see where I'm shooting from. In resurgence I run a Chimera and a BAS-P combo and it is amazing. I use the silenced barrels, and they are also very quiet compared to other silenced weapons. The Hemlock sounds like it doesn't even have a silencer on

i had been rocking the Chimera as my main sniper support basically since WZ2 came out. and ive used basically this same build just with the cronen mini pro optic instead. i also tried using iron sights but i think the sight really helps past 25m. ive tried out the Cronen Squall more recently and honestly its kind of a coinflip between those 2. i use the tempus muzzle, same laser, same sight, the extended mag, but also the comb that helps ADS/Sprint to fire without hurting recoil. the cronen doesnt need the barrel because as a battle rifle its effective range is already quite far (about 33m, so same as the chimera with a barrel) the cronen with the 50 round mag and my build has about the same ADS time as your chimera build, with virtually identical TTKs across all ranges and body parts. it also has much more damage per mag, and much better sprint to fire/tac sprint to fire times. you just have worse sprint speeds. oh and the cronen has better muzzle velocity for those medium ranges if you are playing solos and maybe duos, you can try the 30 round mag on the cronen for even better mobility if you are feeling spicy

That 30rnd mag with the B13 stock makes the Squall an ads movement speed demon.

@@gregorypaul7898 yeah. you get better ADS/Sprint to fire using the comb instead of the stock, but the ADS strafe speed increase is significant. you also sac a little recoil control tho

Because there is no high velocity ammo, you could use any other ammo type and then tune it towards bullet velocity.

Started using it after guy won a duel with me over 30meters. I had a first shot with MP5 but he fried me with Chimera. I know that at closer range both guns are basically the same. So running Chinera as SS from that point on and its a lot more fun than AR/SMG combo I was using. No point in SMGs with Chimera in game.

Personally I think the STB is the best SS. It has SMG STF and ads times. It also has really good TTK, zero recoil with AR BV and range.

@@simonde8091 it’s about 40ms difference (525 vs 567) and the stb has way better STF and ads. The stb is way better for playing aggressive and pushing buildings. Chimera requires you to play slower as the STF is 200ms+ and ads is 300ms+. The STB can be used as a sub/AR hybrid, with sub 100ms STF and 200ms ads. like you said it’s stats and the STB wins in every department, bar 40ms TTK difference.

300 blackout is what that rifle shoots standard. It's a 308 projectile but loaded into a necked up 556 casing

I love the STB but I been using chimera since the game came out. It's just savage at medium and close range. If u don't mind wasting AR ammo. I'd swap out the chimera for Kastov 762 (for longer range- works for me) or put them together. They both delete.
