I would argue that like Umi Control and Weather Painters Kaiju didn't go away they just sleep until you get bored of meta and want 'jank but high class jank' type strategies. It is nice to see the Crystal Beasts making friends though before Tear drown everything in the game and drug us all to the briny deep of DESPAIR. 8,D Oh the sorrow.

when i was looking some card that can bring back gameciel as a aqua-type, i found aquaactress, all the spell/trap support when send to gy, it can bring back gameciel, which seems easy but haven't tried yet. It just theorycrafting lol

@@DuellinksAce XD Aquaactress are still one of those that is labeled F-Tier and they kinda are in MD but I feel in festivals where we don't have as many sweepers or turn one locks they show their Duel Links Tier 0 potential. I saw them annoy the crap out of my second account by me locking them and them assembling an army of vicious fishes and me being like "W-Wiat a second. We can talk about this! I DUN WANT KARMA FOR PLAYING FISH IN MTG!!" Which if you don't know Merfolk are called "Fish" in MTG because they are all basically fish people and it makes the deck snappy so that when you add a color or mechanic to it it becomes Simic+Fish or Tempo-Fish.

Don't worry. Crystal Beasts outright DESTROY Tear without effort. There is a reason it's one of the 3 other decks that have gotten consistent tops during Tear 0 format. Searchable Necrovalley is an easy GG, their removal doesn't trigger the floating effects of the tears, and CB can play just fine under Dimension Shifter. And if that wasn't enough, the Ishizu cards can backfire if they hit Salvation for a free +2, or in the Overdrive builds, if they hit even 1 or 2 names.

It's quite hard to setup the perfect board, but assuming you don't draw both Rainbow Dragons, both Crystal Beast Rainbow Dragons, and Rainbow Bridge of Salvation in your opener like I did in my first duel, you can get Gameciel on board relatively often. Only issue I have with this deck is that in its current state it absolutely folds to disruption & of course the ever present Maxx "C"

Reminds of a deck I played in high school called a "Sushi" deck. Used crystal beasts alongside the whale earthbound immortal that was a control deck that focused on burning the opponent using the whale. This is a hell of a lot more powerful though, and I'm going to try this deck out.

@@DuellinksAce I'm honestly still baffled they gave us AFD back. The errata may limit his insanity but by no means does it stop him. Not with the absolute barrage of nutty field spells we got in his absence. The degeneracy you could do once MD gets Reichphobia is already beyond me. Especially with MD's very accustomed banlist, it's gonna be a feast to tinker with what we can do. For now, we can just enjoy some more activations of Dragon Ravine ig lol
