Insane Jeep Gladiator build and why I traded in my Toyota Tacoma!

Great rig and welcome to the club. With those as your reasons for the switch, you’ll be happy with the JT. Thing is so capable. Unless you are doing some insane crawling with it 38s will take you any where you wanna go. Mine on 35s on a 3 in AEV high capacity coil lift (my baby is heavy) goes so many places. May want to consider upgrading the steering knuckles and, since you are lifted, going with the high mount kind that raise your drag link and tie rod. The OEM ones on the Rubicon are aluminum and with 38s this would be well worth the money. Have fun with the build and on the trails. 🤙

Thank you, yeah that’s funny my brother in law was just mentioning those. If budget allows I’ll try to get them done before our Moab trip. He’s had his jeep for years and I just switched over from the Tacoma side, so all tips welcome!

Great vid. Your rear shocks are on the wrong side though. The adjustment knob should face towards back of the truck. Just switch them 👍🏻

Yea just flip them. Put driver side on passenger side. Also if you want a even softer rider you can rotate the shaft on the shock to a softer setting

@@myanime101 For me and many fortunate others, It is the best Diesel ever made. Still the king of MPG even over the 3.0 Duramax. Mine makes over 500 ft/lbs at 1400 RPM. It sounds like a gas direct injected engine it's so refined with NVH in mind. In our EcoDiesel group one member is over 500k miles original engine. Once you know what your doing, they go forever.

@@myanime101 they stopped making them because of the mission mandates. If you’re talking about 14-15 some had issue. Look at the 3.0 Duramax. And engine failures, due to oil consumption. Look at the Cummins engine that ingested bolts banks fixed some issues with their upgrades. Go look at the eco boost and their problems. Go look at the new tundra and Tacoma engines and drive trains they’re exploding. The engine in the gladiator is the third GEN Eco diesel much improved and we also know many things on how to keep them alive for hundreds of thousands of miles. If you’re not willing to do the right steps and preventative maintenance and don’t get one.
