Yeah, that's not the fault of ZD Racing. Any car of any brand can lose those specific parts. I would say it didn't even break. Parts fell off. No big deal, just get some replacements. I was impressed. For the price point, ZD Racing is becoming one of my favorites!

I totally cannot figure out how you manage to turn around blind at the top of the hill and get it pointed back down! A new cartwheel record is something to chalk up on this one. There are some things not to like, but it drove really well. For my money, the car won vs. Bash Mountain.
@TheRcSaylors3 жыл бұрын
Haha, well we really just got lucky on getting it turned around I think! Possibly some skill, and our in person audio was definitely better than what the camera captured. You can sort of hear which way it is going, but yeah. Mostly just dumb luck! Thanks for watching Rick!! 👍😁😎⚓

Some good bashing, and some good tumbling. If you didn't have such an extreme mountain I would guess this would hold up to some smaller jumps🤔🤔❓. Now if you could get an fpv hook up for when your both down hill then you could negotiate back down better plus a view as you top the hill & go over. Happy MOTHER'S Day Abby, Nate did you take Abby to dinner. ❓❓⚓⚓👍💚👍💖👍💗👍⚓⚓. Forget to ask are you guys getting the cicadas invasion.

Those bottom spring retainers are no problem, and sometimes come off. If you have spare parts from other 1/10 shocks, it may fit. The spring tension is supposed to keep them in place. I like it and vote that the rocket took the mtn ever peezee! This deserves more good bashing’s in my opinion and not shelved like an elf!🤪. Happy Mother’s Day to Abby. Great video!👊🏼

Did the same with my ZD B-10E buggy. My C hub broke without even crashing, just a side roll overs type thing. Said to myself that broke way too easy. Metal was a no brainer. Had to file down the aluminum part to make it work though.

If you're looking to replace the shock piece it is called a "shock spring perch" Did you ever end up finish building that crawler? I have just as much fun building/ changing parts on my RCs as I do driving them i think. One of the most surprising aspects of this hobby when I got into it a few years ago.
@Flight66773 жыл бұрын
You should do additional testing at the track where you jumped the heck out of the Losi Lasernut. This bash mountain was not hard on the ZD Racing truck IMO. Your jumping and high speed tests on the Losi Lasernut was much more brutal.

Agreed, I posted a comment a while back on another review for a rc they did, but nothing came about. I guess they are gearing on a budget for a intermediate hobbyist or someone starting. But, you have commenters talking about product support and part availability being a issue. However, if they should do decide to do one it would be best if a kit build then a speed test video

You two never adjusted the preload at all!!! It was maxed out soft.... No wonder the shock mounts popped off! Why do people think they are adjusted from the factory? Just look at how gushy the shocks were acting. Please don't say it was the ZD racing cars fault. It is solid!

You should enter the RC gymnastics (if that's even a thing) 🤣 Can't remember who I was watching, but I remember the little trick, drill a small hole in those bottom caps and secure them onto the shock shaft with some thin jewelry wire.
@roblowrie19693 жыл бұрын
I've had those spring retainers come off my BSD Racing Flux Assault, and could never find them!! I ended up putting a tiny zip tie round the very bottom of the shock shaft, where the retainer goes around it, to stop it moving upwards. Either that, or get ones without the slot. 👍🏻

Happy Mother’s Day Abby. Nate I think the car won but Abby didn’t drive it... Lol. God bless
@Nickwillfixit3 жыл бұрын
The Buggy is a winner, nice looking, and I have seen more expensive manufacturers with the same problems, there are ways to fix them so it does not happen again and come on Abby a split in the body and shock spring seats do not a failure make. It gets an A+ for looks a A- for durability and an A+ for annoying Abby, I prefer the one with the spare wheel rather than the wheelie bar or wing as it then detracts from the scale look, and come on Abby not taking anything from MINE to repair it how many times has the boot been on the other foot, come on it is at max a ten dollar part, once the match has been made you can order the part to replace the borrowed part, then with the shock spring seats you can drill a small hole just big enough to fit a small cable tie so you can hold the seat to the spring, and yes you could probably have stopped it from happening by putting more spring tension on them, something I check before running any new vehicle as part of my ten point check and rectify step from the box. And yep the LED should have been OK from the box but how many are made and shipped so an occasional fault will happen not just because it is an ZD I had LED's out on TRAXXAS UDR and the LOSI SBR so just give them an e-mail pretty sure they will send you a new pair of LED's, as their customer service is improving with every new model. Love you guys always get a laugh, and managing to turn one around blind is a great skill.

Hmm, I'm gonna call it even, you did bash it hard but it also did break so the ZD can't call it a victory. Also could probably do with an upgraded servo, as I noticed on the more flat-ish stuff like the mini jump it was struggling to track straight.
@TheRcSaylors3 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The servo does seem to struggle with these big tires. Thanks for tuning in 👍😁😎⚓

@@TheRcSaylors Also looking forward to the ZD discussion on your Q and A. I owned more then a few ZD vechile and most of time have been impressed with their performance, standard equipment and value for money yet at the same time have been let down buy their duribility or quality control issues. Compared to other RC's including budget RC's which don't appear to be as well built as some ZD models yet somehow end up being way more durible.

Looks like it needs a toe in adjustment. Does it have that capability ?
@bvn6503 жыл бұрын
Nate, to get it to look even better, try some 1.9 crawler wheels on there. I have some on mine and it looks a lot more U4 scale and less stress on the drive and suspention parts. My shock preload is set all the way up plus 10mm spacers on the back to preload the heavy rear even more. It takesmoff and lands nice and flat now on bigger jumps, try it 😉

@@TheRcSaylors The way I do it is to check how much play there is in the steering links by pushing against the backs of the front wheels with the car on the ground. That way you will see how much toe in you get, and also how much toe out happens when you push the other way. A lot of slack is a problem when you back off the throttle at speed. The car gets twitchy.

Very durable buggy, another great video, you two are awesome, and get that woman to a range, she needs some range time if she cant tell a shotgun shell from a magnum. Start with a 22, and bring fun things to shoot, like dum dum lollie pops, when you hit them they explode in a nice puff of smoke, that later you can smell what flavor you hit, a large piece of cardboard and a icepick for holes makes a great holder for them. When you all bring drones back, could you bring on a cinewhoop type? and not a wifi one? I understand why you usually do the wifi ones is because people will find it more accessible, but, it would be very nice to see the occasional drone that isn't wifi. You can get a fpv monitor that you can use just like the phones for standard fpv gear. can even get one that is 10" and for under $100, could make it a dual review, of the monitor and the cinewhoop drone. plus you could use the monitor for future reviews of that type of drones. Pick up a action cam if you dont already have one, and you could even compare it to your dji fpv, that is one area that all of the cinewhoop reviews i have seen is missing, few to none are the reviews of them that actually show you a true comparison. showing, this is what you spend for this, this is what you get for your cash.
