I have seen them live 5 times. Their live energy is incomparable. Honestly I did not like their last album before the split up so much but this sound now is really great and reminds me of the machine head I fell in love with when I saw them first playing before Slipknot. Hyped to hear them again

I watched MH support Slipknot on their Subliminal Verses tour. And tell you what, to me, Machine Head were the highlight of that concert hands down. Rob is a beast!

I’ve seen them live 19 times. Starting at their first ever headline show at nottingham rock city, and many more places including for me their most awesome show at the download festival 2007. Number 20 is coming up later in the year. An absolutely stunning live band.

Those are indeed harmonics, which function to make exact ratios of a frequency (2:1, 3:1, 4:1, etc). For example a note of 400Hz would be made into 800Hz, 1200Hz, 1600Hz, etc. More specifically, what you were pointing out in the song are “natural harmonics” meaning they are performed on open strings. Machine Head were pioneers in taking natural harmonics and featuring them within metal riffs. I can say that whenever I’ve included them within my riffs it was directly inspired by MH. 🤘🏼

Loved this band since Burn My Eyes. Was lucky enough to see them at a small venue and they played 3 or 4 old hardcore tunes. Cro-Mags was one of the bands they covered that night. Unreal show. Would love to see you react to Sun Killer by Spiritbox.
