@@nixie534 but in current state of OW2 Moira is the only support that can do better, there is bap or kiriko but with high skill they are and you also needing to heal too, its more stressfull. Moira is still the support can be impactfull and not throwing (in high rank ofc). She is boring but in this current she like the ideal support for ow2 not mercy (she is ideal for ow1)

@@GS00513not really, yes Moira can do a lot of damage and healing at the same time but that won’t matter when her whole kit is really bad against kiriko and mercy, her healing is usually bad and she won’t have good impact or change the game, but I agree i love Moira she’s so fun to play

Yeah I used her to climb to diamond. DPS are good enough to actually land their shots on me though now so I'm back to relying on matchmaking to give me a decent team when I play support

Sometimes Moira IS the DSP. Some dsp won’t apply pressure/ eliminate. My philosophy is to win the battle then heal everyone when we do. Of course I’ll heal on emergencies.

@@Lovelykarma0909 Moira is never the DPS. She is a support who can help finish off after the dps or sometimes get kills by herself (really depends). Do not only heal while on emergency. Whatever character that has low health will be targeted more and will die more (even with heals).

As a low elo mercy moria main i feel ya, once i started as mercy doing like 5k heals before even first point noticed that the dps litterally did nothing but shoot the orissa, i switched to moira team wiped the enemy twice before they managed to kill the orisa once. They complain that i wasnt healing, swiched back to mercy did 10k heals 2k damage boost, 6 revs, they did not get a single kill. Switched back to mora and trippled the lobbies kills. Remember kids if your mercy switches to moria its because dps is doing jack.

"We're changing to 5v5 composition to make team fights faster." - OW2 comes out. xD Only change that happened in OW2 is life of support to more miserable than ever (since usually 2nd tank was peeling to help or take care of snipers). Loved the video Hoshi...even so I know it was painful. Gotta support insane support players.

Thank you for this video. I learned so much from your game play style. But also, I felt identified. Bad dps (which there seem to be a lot of) always blame Moira for picking up their slack and ineptitude. They blame healers in general first, but mostly they blame Moira I feel. I've had games with 400 healing Anas because they were trying to be dpsing and nobody calls them out. Anyway, I totally felt your pain and frustration (as well as your joy at having carried that game to a win). Subscribed for sure. Hope to see more of your awesome Moira plays. Thank you.

Advice for new moira players increase your sensitivity in order to deal with pesky characters like tracer or genji that move around a lot and to quickly turn and try and heal your teammates that are fast asf and bounce everywhere cause regular sensitivity is too slow to react also use ways the walls to utilize your orbs better youvdont always have to to be looking at enemy team to use em especially if they got a sniper on their team

This is the universal Moira experience lmao. When DPS has 5 kills and i have 23 and 18k healing and they blame me for losing i scream i really really do. Thats also close to my highest amount of healing done. The most healing Ive done was 22.6k healing, is 22k about your average? Thats impressive.

I always have that same process of thought that maybe if I switch supports to like mercy to pocket them they might actually start getting elims... That's never the case if they can't get kills without a pocket they still can't with one.

bunch of times i switched from mercy to moira, bcs boosting my dps was just useless, went to moira, immediately killed enemy backrow and then went back to my tank to heal him

Damage boost won’t help then confirm kills if they’re missing shots in the first place.

Especially when you check the stats, and there's 20K heals at the end of the first round. Sure, if the heals are lagging, I might decide to completely lay back and focus-heal. But if you're healing THAT much, and dps can't get it done, then you just keep playing and hope dps sorts their shit out!! Luckily, in this match at least, the dps that switched to Hanzo fixed his problem pretty effectively. Junkrat, on the other hand, ended up mediocre at best.

As a Moira Main, nothing gets me more frustrated when I enable my team by pumping them full of heals until I'm empty AND THEY STILL DIDN'T DO ANYTHING Then they say in chat "hEaLs?!" when I need to charge my heals and pick up some of the slack of our struggling dps Like really, If their dps doesn't need to be babysat and ours do to barely win battles, I'd rather do more dps while keeping our tank or other support alive Which I know some people won't agree with that, but it worked for me so far

Insane! I feel the pain tho for the first rounds where you talkin about the dps or tank blaming Moira mains. I feel what people don't grasp is that Moira is SUPPORT hero, not a HEALER per se. We support team and are not dedicated to solely heal. Any Moira that plays just or mostly healer, is either nonexistent, or a detriment to the team overall. The amount of games I've carried as Moira and still lost, is off the fkn charts. Also, it's always a trash dps or trash tank that love to pass the blame to support for them being shite. That's so frustrating having DPS being bodied by a sniper. Matches like this are the reason why I miss the "on fire" system was still visible. You could readily tell who was doing something on either team. They could even make it more robust by having the fire colors mean something to indicate whether it was gained from eliminations, healing or captures. GG though.

I'm usually scared to play Competitive but I always wanted a gold gun for my main. So I think Moira will be a good support for me to choose. I usually have shit aim because i used to play with controller but tried mouse and keyboard and realized i have decent aim! I’m in plat, and it’s either I’m the only one healing or only one of my dps is dpsing or no one focuses the person out killing us.. like a ham would just ball in and out to kill us support or a widow picking off the supports and they cry for heals.. It’s hard to move up.
