"Most people who go to private school aren't wealthy.." Well, that's bollocks. Most people who send their kids to private schools are clearly wealthy enough to do so. Most children who attend private school come from the wealthiest families. Some students win scholarships and have their fees partially or fully covered if they are considered an asset to the school because of their excellence in which case it is the parents choice to try and make up the difference if they are less wealthy and they can either afford to do this or they can't. She's says it's cruel.. have these people have any awareness of what their party did to the least fortunate in this country? Look in the mirror and you may understand where cruelty really comes from.
@teasocietysunglasses5244Ай бұрын
I think you are honestly completely confused at how a society or how running a country works. If it becomes too expensive to send kids to private school those children just put pressure on the existing state school system just as it would for the NHS if private healthcare goes up. The premise that they aren’t wealthy is true, many families often first gen immigrants scrimp and save and sacrifice their own quality of life to provide a top education for their kids. My local cornershop, first gen Bangladeshi, sent their boy to one of the best schools in the country and he’s probably got a better income than me now lol! Good for them. I went to a rubbish local state school, half the kids I grew up with are in jail or miserable. Half of them had wet liberal middleclass parents, stuck in the 60’s. At some point you have to stop expecting the State to solve all your problems, it’s up to you to stop thinking about yourselves, build a family and sacrifice for and think for you kids instead of me me me. The most ironic thing about modern metro collectivism is that it is all about why everything should change to provide X for me and someone else has to pay. It’s very individualist. The original collective is the family, grow some backbone, stop drinking, eat clean, get fit, stop whinging and get out of Mum and Dad’s bedroom and work. Stop reading doom and gloom, you are what you eat. If you want to worry about something worry about how mentally and physically unfit you’ll be in the coming war with China, Iran and Russia after a decade being fed self worth destroying neurotic left wing drivel online. But hey don’t worry, the Right will do the heavy lifting for you as per usual so you can cry off work and game all night.

It's easy to ignore the fact that, Britain started diminishing, from the day, she started losing her colonies, full stop. She started losing prestige, power, wealth and her position in the world. Her foundations, might, power and wealth were based solely on her hold over the colonies. So it follows, since we profited, benefited from the Slave Trade, and colonies, we should pay Reparations. The polling question were odd. « Raise your hand if you WILL vote for Jenrick » vs « Raise your hand if you MAY vote for Badenoch » I did not think much until then. It seems like this interview were to make an illusion that there is support for Kemi Badenoch. As the question asked did not imply any commitment. So even those who are quite sure to vote for Jenrick may raise their hands as by the question asked « MAY vote for Badenoch » does not require any definitive answer. Is Kemi Badenoch really there to refine the image of the Conservative Party? Or for promotion? If that is the case I hope they pay her really really well. This is a whole theory based on the language used by the host. It may be very very wrong.

The best form of reparation is for British to support good governance in those countries. Be sincere about good bi lateral trades, sanction corrupt officials of those countries, accept that development of those countries are infact integral part of Britain development. Reparations in cash would only go to pockets of corrupt leaders.
@TonyWelch75Ай бұрын
I’d love to know how people think the reparations payments would be calculated and who’s going to actually pay for it, so many questions, my family are all English/British but going back 200 years hailed from Ireland so am I culpable as a current UK tax payer? Is it only people whose history can directly be traced back to a beneficiary of the trade? Would African slave traders be liable for their portion? Would any descendants of slaves that have benefited from being a uk citizen also be considered to have benefitted from the slave trade? Would those that receive payouts be prepared to invest their payout in African economies? Would Brits be liable for a payout from Italy or Nordic countries that invaded the uk?
