Insane Premiums on Junk Silver

25X face! I started stacking 90% at 13X face year ago and have paid as much as 22X face for it. Pretty crazy how much Constitutional silver goes for now.

Appreciate the shout out brother. Glad it made it to you safe this time. I remember the end of last year it was going for like 22x face. Then before prices recently spiked people were picking it up for under 20x, including me when I purchased some dimes for 16x face. It flucuates depending on the demand. I've been stacking since March 2019. I stack primarily junk silver. I got to 1100 face value before the recent premium hike. I was taught all the pros of junk silver. I think spot might go down to $22 but only for a few months.

Got hooked up by my coworker. Again. Called ( not because he wanted to do me a favor by selling me silver, but because he needed money) me up and said he had silver. Bought 5 rolls of dimes, 15 morgans and a 2001 ASE. $950

I'm not saying it's rare because it's not, yet. I personally think that people are finally taking more of how important Junk Silver is. Every year thousands of New people are getting into either Stacking or Coin Collecting. Will there be Enough Junk Silver to go around?.. Not at the rate things are going. It is not rare But there is only a Limited Supply.. As you've said, you wish you could get it at 16x -17x face. Will we look back in a year or two and think "I wish I could get more at Only 25x Face"? No One knows. It has become my Favorite Type of Silver though. 👍 Great Video!

Read the book "The Big Silver Melt"...the melts mainly destroyed the dimes quarters and halves, and the worn "cull" silver dollars. Most people kept there silver dollars, but the dimes quarters and halves got melted down in great numbers. If every person in America wanted one silver dime to own, there would not be enough dimes to go around...looking at that, Junk Silver is very rare...it does not seem like it because less than one percent of Americans invest in silver . I have been buying it because I feel it will do well in the future...especially the halves.

Man, I'm definitely glad I stacked the constitutional that I have when I did before these fear prices set in. It's definitely hard to justify paying above $25 face when I got most of mine anywhere from $17-18.50. I sure hope this is all just hype and we see things return back to a much lower base level but it really could go either way with what's going on financially.

Junk silver is popular and has high premiums because they aren’t making it anymore, and because it’s already recognized as money. Some estimates are that $1.7 trillion in junk silver was melted between the nineteen sixties and the nineteen eighties. Ever notice that during periods of high demand junk is the first thing that disappears? Nobody knows what is left so in my opinion you get the double benefit of silver plus a potential for future rarity and numismatic value. 90% of my stack is junk silver. Buy it over time and cost average. You’ll come out just fine.

Junk is almost all I buy. I'm still getting it around 22x fv from my LCS and sometimes on Facebook groups etc. I do believe junk will someday be hard to get ahold of hence why I'm willing to pay high premiums. I don't go over 22.5 fv currently

I have some Rembrandt Toothpaste coming in the mail, not to clean my teeth, it is only to clean my Junk Silver. I was using Crest, decided to go less abrasive. People hate toothpaste you know. I love how clean my coins are though. ew they just delivered it while I'm watching this vid.

@@TheSilverBackStacker Yeah LOL in a year or three when I figure it out. I think Crest left untreated starts tarnishing again in about 2 months, poor color. This Rembrandt has lint in it, very odd but very soft, very white. I picked Rembrandt because it was 94 on the RDA toothpaste abrasiveness Scale. Next I might try Children's Toothpaste at 45. Note Pepsident Denture Cleaner is about 235 on the abrasiveness scale. Crest about 140. But still beyond that there is the chemical aspect to consider and neutralize. I'm retired and like playing with these toys. 🙂

I'll be doing Rembrandt Deeply White soon. Crest is Clay based, , Rembrandt is Lint based. Crest Abrasion Rating about 140, Rembrandt about 95. children's toothpaste is about 45 Baking Soda is 7 Brush and water 4 Got a fist full of (11) Silver Half Dollars to play with.

I prefer stacking constitutional silver and I agree with you, it has risen significantly and I’ve put my buying on hold for now. I was working on a Roosevelt dime book and stacking a few rolls, but those have been put on pause. I’m hoping the premiums go back down, which I’m sure they will at some point, just not telling when. It’s volatile out there. Thanks for the great video!

So many preppers are hoarding junk for a SHTF senior making the demand so high I don’t think we’ll see low premium junk for some time if at all. After all they are not making it anymore.

Dang! 25x face would be a good deal in my area. Most p[laces are charging 28x. I wish I would have bought more when it was 10x. I even made a regret story video about it. 🤣😂 I think junk will continue to go up. They aren't making anymore, so I see it going to 100X face in the not too distant future.

I thought I was lucky to find rolls of pristine 1964 quarters for 19.5x to 21x face several weeks ago. Now forget 90%, I've found 40% for 7.9x to 8.4x... that's like buying 90% for 18x to 19x.

I would stay away from 40$% stuff...refiners say it take way to much energy to extract the silver...go with 90% and 999 fine

25X is a PHENOMENAL bargain. I’ve been stacking for 3years, I’ve never purchased for less than 19 face, I bought every month. I’m going to suggest your LCS is the cheapest out there. You should buy everything they have at 25X. 90% is far superior to AE’s, or any other sovereign coin.

I buy 90% from my LCS and eBay, I bid on many auctions per day and win few but I get the best deal on eBay and I don't even have to drive and waste gas money...I just won 30 Roosevelts on eBay minutes ago
