I recently started watching you, around late summer and i just wanted to say thanks for everything you taught me about music production. I started at zero knowledge but now i know everything from the usage of different VST plugins to the capabilities of a DAW. Big thumbs up to you and your community 👏

This is so up my alley. I love the result. Thanks for making those videos. They are such an inspiration and were a big part in the process of my first ambient release. You are the best, Chris.

Thank you for the introduction to CarveToy. I'm finally able to sit down and explore it a bit, and I'm liking what I'm able to do with it. Definitely need to share this new tool!

One the best sounding live-designed tracks so far (to me) .... BTW: what is up with the 440 Hz vs 432 Hz magic ... is that real?
@s1gns0fl1feАй бұрын
Thanks so much! Re: 440 vs. 432hz - that's a huge rabbit hole. Another video, another time. 😂 My quick take is if alternate frequencies sound good to you, try it out. Ableton 12 makes it super easy now to compose in any tuning you want. As for the meaning behind them... I'm a fan but your mileage may vary. Cheers!

Another great video thanks. Question: I'd like to write a 1hr long track would I do that in one project (Logic Pro) or break it up into multiple shorter projects and later edit them together? Thanks again.
@s1gns0fl1feАй бұрын
It's absolutely possible to do it in one project. Go for it!
@KeepjamnКүн бұрын
i would say it all depends on how u want the track to evolve over the course of the hours

Are there free alternatives that can achieve similar sounds like Myth and Pigments synths? Some of Ableton's built-in synths maybe? I'm a beginner and I don't want to spend hundreds of $$$
@s1gns0fl1fe2 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Start with the free synth Vital. I have plenty of videos on my channel to get you started. You don't need much else beyond that. Also download "Supermassive" from Valhalla and use that as your reverb. Best of luck!
