Wonder what the statistics were for syphilis and Gonorrhea in that time period? Such would seem to be the consequences of the life style described. Unbelievable how many women were enticed into this “trade”!

The map of France at start of the video is wrong. It still shows France in possession of the Alsace and Lorraine regions that were lost to the German Empire during the Franco-Prussian War.

Maybe it's not gossip to you but when I hear commentary sprinkled with: "...is said to have..."; "...is believed..."; "...supposedly..." etc, it sounds to me more like gossip than history FACTS!! And your video title: "Insane Secrets about..."? Hardly insane imo, more like say, "Unusual Secrets" ...but clickbait titles are the Facebook norm these days.

"Bell epoke" is I suppose an apposite way to pronounce a period of rampant casual intercourse, the period of history is called the "Belle (length the e) E po "k" (clip the k), te narrator sounds like a Dalek and the tricolor should be red, white, and blue, no gold.

1870 was also the time when Prussia defeated France and during the siege of Paris, people were starving. Doesn’t quite sit with the hedonism the author of the video raves about. Get your dates right and make an effort to pronounce the language.
