I use coverstyl (high tack interior wrap) to release top liner. It’s also very thick which helps. Thank you Christian for all your education bro.🙏🏼🙏🏼😊

That looks awesome... And a trick that might help with removing the capping is to fold over a corner back on its self and the crease should help separate the layers.. top work fella, and thanks for the vids, helped me loads

Hey Christian thanks so much for the videos! Love the work. In another video regarding ceramic coatings you mentioned that you can wrap over them but they lower the the adhesion. When you have an overly aggressive adhesive such as on this Hexis Titanium Chrome, would there be any sense to actually applying the c-coat in advance to make for an easier install. Potentially avoiding ruining some of the expensive film? While, of course, hopefully still getting a great install that has staying power.

After going over with a heat gun, do you think torching the edges for just a little bit will damage it or seal it better ? I found out on the interior trims (which are really curved little spots) torching it afterward helped me a lot. But i just haven't tried it out on the exterior.

My tail light has like dirt that doesn't come off and you can see it when wrapped. I tried cleaning it with alcohol and it doesn't do anything. Should I wet sand it or clay bar it?.

Try cutting the vinyl from the back to peel the cap. Seen a vid a few days ago. The guy did it from the back and had no issues with removing the cap. Keep up the good work. Love your vids. My skills are getting better because of you sir!

I found a good way to do it as well. I cut into the film near a corner then I pull it the rest of the way. The 2 materials tear at a different rate so this allows an edge to be able to separate them

Also tip for releasing the CAP on hexis.... get to a corner and "score" the clear see through CAP about a 1CM in... so across the corner basically creating a triangle.... you will then be able to bend you score mark picking up the CAP much easier... Still a PITA but a great way of doing it!! Hope this makes sense if not ill do a quick video on it.

Hey Christian, great job as usual. I'm a subscriber and watch all your videos, very informative. From watching your videos, you inspired me to wrap my 06 gsxr 1000. My first panel was a pain and I gave up. I went back and watched more of your videos and gained the courage to try again.A couple panels, I had to use the knifeless. As I got closer to finishing the last couple panels i realized I could now go back and do some panels in 1 piece, now that I have some experience handle and applying the wrap. The bike turned out great. Everyone who sees the bike thinks it's some expensive ass paint job, lol.. I used avery roaring thunder. I seen your video on the 1 piece tank wrap. That tank you did had a removable plastic cover which would be an easier tank to wrap then a full tank. Please, do a full sport bike wrap. I'm sure you know somebody with a sport bike. I think it would be nice to see your skills and techniques applied to motor fairings.. keep up the good videos bro and hopefully one day soon, you can tackle a motorcycle for your fans.. thanks

Hey Christian.....i have Hexis on my hood and trunk, gloss black.....i didnt use tack reducer and it was as sticky as hell, but i was patient and finally got there, although had that damn hair under the wrap in the middle of the hood, no way was i lifting the wrap back up to get the hair out.....oh well it happens i guess, but hexis looks great and isnt too bad to work with.....see if i feel the same when i do the roof..lol

Sub'd... posted a question on another Video of yours. Any insight on using HEXIS for racing stripes on my Shelby? I like the idea of "high tac"... especially since I wash with a pressure washer. Really want to avoid a product that appears to have orange peel texture when complete. Probably not as prevalent with white stripes. Thanks.

Hi Christian my daughter is Aztek Rapz here in the uk she removes the cap by folding a corner over by a couple of centimetres and then it will separate easily with your finger nail, If it works well for you please let us know. We really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot thank you.

Hey a little question for you. I bought a roll of vvivid vinyl wrap on Amazon in gloss black and it has an orange peel texture to it. I looked through the 3m reviews which I dknt even want to use after your video and they have even worse texture. Is there any wraps that don't have that? It appears to be from the air release adhesive on mine

andrew kb -apparently gloss black, of any brand, is amongst the worst for orange peel. Same with paint. It’s because of the contrast in the reflection between shadows and highlights

Now that youve used this material, whats in your opinion the best OVERALL film for finish, ease of install, quality for the professional shop.... i use Hexis and am certified by them but... the tack is so extreme i struggle to wrap roofs etc on my own, i find it really frustrating.

I'm always up for working harder if the result is a deeper and nicer finish in the wrap. Hexis is very sticky, which makes it challenging. To counter the strength of the adhesive I used Tack Reducer by Vvivid. It helps tremendously

thanks for replying bro, i often wondered why its taken me so long to be able to wrap to a high standard and i discovered why when using other films.... That tack level when working alone makes this film incredibly difficult to manage. i Learned using hexis so from the off just thought this was how films are.... I don't think they plan to change the adhesive on the chrome but hopefully they do on their other films. I've used Hexis a few times in the past and without Tack Reducer, it is a slow process when working alone.
