My husband is a mechanic at a mine. He works on their massive earth mover trucks DAILY. It takes hours to do almost any maintenance job, including changing the tires. They're so big that you can walk underneath them upright and physically crawl INSIDE the engines to perform maintenance there. The mechanics there also typically know how to drive them, because if one breaks down in the field you have to go out to it, get it running, then drive it into the work bay for a full checkup.

Just go to The Netherlands, that country is so small and there live 18,000.000 people, they're all stacked on top of each other, the streets are so narrow in the cities that trucks are not even allowed to come in. Big trucks and tractors like other countries are not able to drive in that country.

I've only seen the Big Bud 16v-747 on KZbin and in the Farming Simulator game series. And in the Nordic Countries, our truckers can actually pull loads of 70-90 metric tonnes. I've seen one truck themed YT channel talk about it, Truck Topia, and they said 70-90 metric tons is around 290,000 lbs or more. In Sweden, where i live, our trucks are allowed to drive at speeds of 90 km/h, and carry weights of 70-80 metric tons, and in Finland it's around 90 tons. One metric tonne is actually heavier than the imperial tonne, you can google weight converters, as i don't feel like converting it myself. Anyway, that's up to 90.000 kgs on Finnish and Swedish roads. I know you're allowed to pull and carry heavier loads than just 70 tons in Sweden, they do it all the time, and the Swedish Army do often transport their tanks, which weighs around 60 to 70 tons alone, i've seen the Swedish military do it quite a lot since tve war in Ukraine started.

I saw a giant vehicle hauling a wind turbine blade when I was on a road trip and the vehicle seemed massive, and was a sight to behold as it drove down the freeway at full speed! It was going the other way so we didn't have to drive around it, but my jaw was on the floor!

19:41 correction. It depends on the certification of the driver and the amount of axles on the truck and trailer. A standard semi truck with a steering axle, 2 drive axels pulling standard 53 foot dry van trailer with tandem axles can be a maximum of 80,000 lbs in total. If the trailer has 3 axles instead of 2 that is another 20,000 lbs so it can be 100,000 lbs maximum truck, trailer and load weight. Hopefully it makes sense and clears up some questions. -Your friendly neighborhood truck driver. 25:25 saw one in Toledo Ohio transporting a massive boiler when I was younger, was cool to watch them use it in tandem with a semi truck to maneuver the roads.

3:47 the Spider Excavator reminds me of AT-TE’s and AT-AT’s from Star Wars. Most likely got its primary inspiration from AT-TE’s. As AT-TE’s aka All-Terrain Tactical Enforcers are much more versatile than AT-AT’s. Last time I checked, AT-AT’s cannot walk up a vertical cliff like the AT-TE’s did in Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series.

I'm a logger and clear cutting large areas in the U.S. is rare. I've never seen it personally and that's great. Cutting down small areas is good for the forest. You do different sections a long ways from each other means by the time you get back to the beginning it's time to harvest it again.

I really want to be in a video so here is my revenge story it all started in Middle School I left a school long ago but now I'm back. It felt like everyone I knew changed except for one girl, Adriana. She was the nicest girl in school, and my secret crush. I had only told two people that I liked her-my friends Kingston and Julian. But when I was telling Julian at lunch, he turned around and told her that I liked her. I felt betrayed. She just laughed. Luckily, I was sick the next day and didn't have to go to school. When I came back, I decided to avoid her. As I was walking to recess, she started calling my name. I didn't know what to do, so I panicked and ran. In my fear, I ran to an old friend who helped me hide from her, but then I ran into her friends. They asked me why I was running. I didn't know how to explain, so I screamed, "Hey, look over there!" Both of them turned around, and I ran. I managed to outrun them long enough for recess to end, but I still had to deal with lunch. She was coming toward me. Time was running out. So, in a last-ditch effort, I ducked under the table and crawled to the other side. I managed to escape-for now. When we went back to class, the teacher announced we would be changing seats. I ended up sitting next to her. She talked to me, saying we should just be friends. Everything seemed fine for a couple of days. I was still trying to win her over. Eventually, Julian told someone else, who told another kid, and so on. I expected the usual chase, but this time was different. She just ignored me-walking away and doing everything in her power to stay away from me. Actually, my buddy Kingston said that he was dating her. I thought he was just lying, but then he actually went and got her. They chased me down and cornered me against a wall. Adriana looked at me and said, "I'm dating Kingston." I was so shocked that I fainted, hitting my head on the cement. Luckily, I was fine and woke up almost immediately, but I felt nothing but sadness. My friends tried to cheer me up, but it wasn't working, so I just left. The next day at school, I saw something that made me even angrier. Adriana was handing Kingston money. I couldn't see how much it was, but it looked like $100. She was paying him to date her. My sadness turned into rage in an instant. The next day, I came in late. I knew the teacher would leave the door open while they were doing PE, so I made my move. I put cherries in Adriana's lunchbox, knowing Kingston was allergic to them. When lunch came and they sat together, just like I expected, she opened her lunchbox. I waited for her to pour out the cherries, and then I screamed, "He's trying to poison him!" The whole cafeteria erupted in chaos. In the panic, Adriana screamed, and accidentally threw one of the cherries into Kingston's mouth. Eventually, the chaos stopped when the ambulance arrived. Adriana was expelled and sentenced to three months in juvie. The moral of the story: Don't mess with my love life.

While some jobs require extremely heavy trucks, creating and maintaining these vehicles is not always necessary. The fact that many jobs can be done with lighter vehicles or can be optimized with other technologies reduces the reliance on these vehicles and minimizes the impact on the environment.

15:25 Fiber optics doesn't inherently mean faster internet. Google fed that myth with Google Fiber. The fact is, your internet speed is limited by your device. Your modem, for instance, still uses copper connections internally in the electronics. Seems to me that if fiber optics were so much faster, electronics would've shifted as well. There is no difference between fiber and copper in terms of performance.

is a mobile launch platform safer than on sight assembly ? . . it's likely more expensive to setup but both have their pros and cons also the road for the crawlers was a feat of engineering in it's own right . . . as it has to be much tougher than any road or runway
@wtflmaa7842Ай бұрын
I strongly doubt that on sight assembly is a good idea. Just imagine a truck pulling up early (for whatever reason) and the mechanics start adding those parts immediately as soon as they lay their eyes on them without any regard to the assembly plan.
