have you tried riding the newly tamed horse back to your default horse with the saddle? is it impossible to get back out of the map with the horse? can't get the horse in the cave, get drunk and get on the horse before passing out?

You can get back on the map with the Out-of-Bounds horse. Just save & reload. Arthur will teleport back to the mainland so long as you didn't save in Guarma. Send your original horse into the Horse Stable. Then save-reload again back in camp. The temporary horse stuck in the Out-of-Bounds area will teleport to camp. I've done this a couple times while obtaining New Austin & Guarma animals as early as Chapter 2.

Shoot a buck and stow on your horse, ride down there with buggy and your horse following with, get to the cave and kinda go past it a little so you reverse back to the entrance get off buggy and pick up the buck and it should in theory work that way I haven't tested it yet myself. If you give it a shot lemme know bro?

The time constraints under the publisher Take-Two were stricter than Rockstar realized. With 2 delays & a lawsuit from the real-life Pinkertons, the devs couldn't push their luck any further.
