Аспид - самая сильная, самобытная и талантливая российская группа. Их тексты на русском просто гениальны - они грамотно построены, иногда лиричны, но всегда по-хорошему чудовищны! Чего только стоит "Там где ночь"! Have you not heard 'Individual Thought Patterns', by Death? Steve DiGiorgio plays a fretless on that entire album. Bass is just criminally underused in metal. If it's even audible in the mix, you typically only hear it to beef up the drums. Personally, I can't stand how guitar dominated metal is.

Never really sat and listened to Death, I'll check it out. The reason I say this is the first time I liked a fretless in a mix is because to my ear it lacks a certain vibe with the attack that I wanna hear in metal. That said, that's just like, my opinion man. This sounded super aggressive and badass to me. I'll check out that Death album tomorrow though for sure 🤘

Never heard of this band, sounds like I should check them out! This is a fantastic performance! I wonder, do you find more creative inspiration from a kickass guitar riff that you can interpret on bass, or a already kickass bassline that you can play just about the way the original bassist did? Either way, you are a fantastic player, and incredibly tasteful.

This is fucking rad!!! I remember the time I got their first album on a bootleg cassette from Felix Havoc at Thrash Fest 5 in 2004. Absolutely still kills today! Always wanted a shirt but had to settle for homemade patches. Sure I could find a bunch today tho. Also you fuckin shred my man!!!
