I agree, except with "action movie" logic, it would basically make the game either really hard or virtually unplayable once you get into a high-speed chase. At 100+ mph, the indentations on the side of a highway, for example, could probably destroy the tires of a car, if not flip the whole thing completely.

Pretty cool! but I see some limitations in it. There's not material rupture, only plastic deformation, it bends, expands, contracts (very good in that matter) but never snap or make fissures. It would be a lot cooler if the engine could handle several types of material and process the graphical output required for each material submitted to the respective shears and torsion forces, and with that, the different components reacts differently to the shear forces causing the plastic and some metals components to crack, other metals just bend, and the tires to explode. Also the engine could handle if the components are joined by bolts or welding

Inconceivable Imposter It's fun if you can go at high speed and crash, but unfortunately we can't because you spin out in the first 5 seconds because of a very bad habit in racing games; First gear wheelspin. You press W (or the key for accelerate) and then it stays in first gear while you reach the rev limit.
