Mixed Messages was done by an artist who used OCs for the video. The dude is her OC for several things, but I believe this version might be from a GTA RP. The lady is a friends OC. You can see her stuff in the description of the video.

I don't know if you knew, but I've read under the original video that it was animated by a fan who made an animation for the short version with their Fallout OC, and then Tom saw it and asked them to collab for a full song and this is how this masterpiece were born. So the guy in the video is not Tom, but the OC of that lucky artist.

@@Insaneian I honesty would reccomended watching the whole special before any of the individual songs. So many of the songs are specifically written to work within the context of the special and while they all are great even without that context, they are all enhanced by it and won't be as impactful without that context. I know for a fact that I would not have had nearly the same reaction to "that funny feeling" had i heard it without seeing the whole special.

Mixed messages was his first song I heard of. Lol it was the shorter live version. I thought; this looks interesting. I forgot what initially led me to it, but I can't be more grateful. Lol I love his content ❤️ I resonate with the humor a lot. And the vibe and tunes. It literally made my day and continues to do so when it im feeling low. My other favorites; why am I anxious, big breakfast, hall and oates (version 2, important to note), and that one song that has the piano song that most people learn how to play... Idk the official name, but it might be 'spoons'? Idk but in the vid he does a skit about that one cousin playing that song... It's just the way Tom says 'Chopin' and 'Beethoven' that I really like. Oh and because I have a cousin that knows that song too! Lol Ps I lied. Another cool song is a sad song, the error 169 song. I thought, wow that's creative, relatable, and humorous.

When I first saw Carol Brown I had never heard it before. It made me laugh so hard. What's funny is when I watched FOTC video for it there's all sorts of visual jokes and stuff. Not quite an animatic, as usually animatics have much less movement. This is still an animation, just without lip sync. Animatics are usually made using the test drawings or storyboards to show the animators how to transition shots for the full animation. This is more animated than most animatics are. (I have friends who work in the animation industry, and one who exclusively works in using animatics)

Best part of Mixed Messages, for me at least, is a previous song, Red Flags basically talks about the date in question. With no context, Red Flags paints the WOMAN as the one with issues. This song clarifies that “Oh no, this guy is just as much a freak and oddball as she is.”
