The second game of Little Nightmares had this underlying theme of people getting too attached to the TV and that's less obvious at the start but it gets more and more into that theme as the game goes on. Its why I like Stupendium cause he makes more songs that are inspired by the game but not necessarily about the game itself. He makes songs more about the theme which I really enjoy. The "Baker Family" Scene is part of the first sequence in Little Nightmares 2, inside the hunter's cabin there's a dead family thats stuffed and sat at a dinner table and there's a bunch of rotting food there they're "eating."

In "Tune Into The Madness", there are a whole WHACKTON of UK television references. For instance: "The Watershed" was the time (9pm) after which free-to-air TV channels could start showing more adult (15+) rated content, with a gentle transition to allowing 18+ rated content after 10pm. "Are you sitting comfortably?" was the opening line to "Listen with Mother", a kids radio programme which ran from 1950 'til 1982. "Auntie Beeb" is a pet name for the BBC. "Izzy Wizzy Let's Get Busy" was the catch-phrase of Sooty, a (somewhat anarchic) puppet that had a kids TV show. "Gogglebox" is a TV show where you watch common people watching TV in their homes, and their reactions thereto. "Telly Addicts" was a TV quiz show pitting two families against each other for the best knowledge of TV trivia. "The BAFTAs" are the British Academy of Film and Television Awards. A kind of British version of the Oscars that also covers TV.
@weltato3 жыл бұрын
I noticed the Watch/Listen with Mother reference (I have a Watch with Mother video that I remember loving as a child) but I didn't catch the Sooty line! How? Thanks for mentioning these, I'll have to rewatch/relisten to this and look for them all. There was also a John le Mesurier (probably most known for being Sergeant Wilson in Dad's Army) clip in the video too at 4:05 from an advert for butter.

The connection between Tune into the Madness and the game is that the song is about what happened to all the adults in the game. It's background stuff that doesn't relate too much to the gameplay itself. Although, there were a few clips of actual gameplay on the TV screens in the background of the song.

To give a short explanation for things that other comments I've seen haven't gone over, in the Little Nightmares series, most normal people have become messed up physically and mentally becoming distorted and maybe even getting powers in small cases. The only ones seemingly unaffected are Children that aren't affected by either the thinga distorting others or the people with powers which is why Six and Mono, the main characters are normal. The first song shows alot about the first game's creepiness but moreso wasn't that specific other than the visuals. The new one though... Oh boy! There are MANY references to Little Nightmares 2. Dan and Stupendium when in the house are supposed to be the Viewers, what the normal pipulace became in this world, the TV versions of them are a reflection of the Broadcast Tower, the thing that caused all the issues in Little Nightmares 2. There are also some other little details like a fast mention to a class and learning a lesson which is because there is a school level if sorts and an enemy in the Teacher. I think the Mad Scientist on the TV might be a reflection of the Doctor boss but other than that, callbacks to the original song which are great and the small snippets of gameplay near the second verse I don't think I there is more I can say definitively. I wish they referenced the Hunter like a he Teacher but the song is pretty perfect as is. They didn't need to have a reference to the Tall Man if it wasn't a story song.

six is actually 9 years old! when dan said “six is at a precocious age” he’s meaning to say her name, not age. if he meant her age, it’d be more “six is a precocious age” without the “at” also, little nightmares 2 isn’t a co-op game. you play as the kid in the paper bag, and they reuse six’s character as a helper AI. It’s a horror game, so being alone would definitely increase the horror.

I could not resist laughing with your reactions, you might look in to comedy per usual and this ones are not really comedy, but this reaction video had a lot of comedic value thanks to you! pd: the song has a little bit of game content displayed on the tv, but as you thought it has more to do with the world around the game itself than the game story. The TV's are pretty much one of the most important objects in the second game, and this song showed the people's devolvation into insanity, and how severe it gets for the people who got stuck watching the TV's, that if it was broken (which you have to do by traveling through Tv to Tv), they would immediately try to kill you, reason this happens is cause of Future Mono who's tries to kill his younger self, as well as Six, because she betrays him in his eyes, and later gains control over all Televisions from the Broadcasting Tower through decades of Isolation, causing himself to be mentally insane at the same time

Ok so I don’t SEE a comment explaining this but the little nightmares are a mirror of reality. The first game is a boat of luxury that is made on and of children( irl sweatshop children) to feed an insatiable desire for greed. Even as six escapes she has to feed on others to keep satisfied, though she starts begrudgingly eating a few scraps before eating a “gnome child”. The final boss is a vacuum of power that corrupts anyone, and when six wins, that vacuum takes her in and corrupts her. The second game is about consumerism, and how even those who resist must use it to gain power until they are hallow, like the main boss a faceless tall man who is sharply dressed. Again being a vacuum when empty. When mono wins out after hurting the only person who helped him (six) he is betrayed and he becomes the cruel unfeeling man after living a life of isolation. Which starts the game again with mono appearing to repeat the process. In little nightmares the villains are the concepts of consumerism and capitalism and advertising Oh and each boss in the first game represents a form of child labor, like the chefs being food gathering cocoa, and fruits, the mistress being fashion and beauty the janitor being a slaver. In the second the bosses represent some form of indoctrination that’s been corrupted by capitalism, the teacher, school obviously, the doctor represents hoax doctors that zombifies the masses, and the tall man represents the truth people perceive from the tv itself

little nightmares 2 is about a boy named mono constantly watching others they work and whenever they stop working they go to watch tv and trying to escape there daily lives. in little nightmares as a whole its about kids who's minds were breaking from trauma and the world in little nightmares knows the more broken the more it prey's on them by making them think it's safe but some of them know it's not but they fear something in the real world that they crossover to the nightmare world those kids when they grow up in the nightmare world there imagination sinks into the world or there memories

Tune into the madness focuses rather on the world of little nightmares II then the actual game characters, also it’s just a collaboration destined to be great

also there are creators that create the environment but little nightmares 2 is in a loop cause only mono can be the creator of the pale city also the viewer's exist because Mono's imagination but also his memories of people always watching tv always pushing him away yet the place is dead cause no one replaces the thinman monos older self because he kills any kid that is in the pale city so he can be in the spotlight you will have to watch coryxkenshin play little nightmares 2 to understand and watch sound of nightmares on youtube
