As someone that loves primarily flippers and Wharncliffe blades the Ziffius is easily my favorite knife of all time. It is SO SMOOTH it's incredible

I've got one of these. It's a much larger knife than I realized when I purchased it. The action is quite good, with no stickiness in the button when the blade is deployed. The fit and finish is excellent. I don't particilarly like the appearance of the harpoon shape on the top of the blade, but it does provide a good place for your thumb. The blade was quite sharp right from the factory.

I’ve had the coated version for awhile now and carry it everyday. I cut up cardboard all day at work at a grocery store and all I’ve ever done was strop it. Mine has a very good heat treat because the edge last forever!!!

This is why I bought the Exciton because I liked that design just a little better, regardless of the fact that it won Texas Blade Show best folding knife. 👍

I love this knife. It's my first "branded" WE knife. I've got a couple that have been OEM'd by them and haven't been disappointed, but this one honestly blows them out of the water. I think the action is even better than my limited edition California Custom Knife Show Mordax. It's one of only two knives that I've received and not immediately taken it apart to improve the action. The other one is my Grimsmo Norseman and that's high praise from me. I'm so thankful I was able to score one of the very model that you reviewed, as I liked that aesthetic much more than the two tone or lightning ano versions. I will probably stonewash the blade, but other than that, it's perfect.

I concur.. the action is soooo smooth. Fine tuned. I have the fire theme. I paid a lot to get it as at the time you just couldn't find them for sale. I recently bought 2 Excitons and waiting for them to arrive. I hope they have the same smooth effortless deployment! Everything MC said it completely correct. As usual haha.. I'm curious what their next knife in this theme of limited editions is going to be..

I have 2. That variant & the ti two toned. The clip is curved and wouldn't be reversible anyway. Great upload! P.S. I love the Ziffius..... but falling in love with my Exciton i got last week too!

I love WE knives. I have knives by Microtech, Chris Reeves, ZT, Spyderco, Maxace, Twosuns, etc.. and my favorite knife is still my WE Kitefin. I also really like my Saakshi which deploys snappier than any other non-automatic knife that I own. I have also had amazing experiences with their customer service. They have really made a fan of me!

Gorgeous knife. Kind of out of my price range, yet I'm going to order one of those Northern Kives/Paul Munko PM2s, but that's a special case. Also I'm counting on that price dropping to $315. PS: I'd take a spot for a left side clip with a filler if they'd jettison that lanyard hole.

The ziffius was the most I've ever spent. $600 by the time currency conversion was done. Love the Wharncliffe blade. Would love the exciton too. But can't spare the cash😭😭. Definitely agree about the pricing bring high. It's an amazing knife but dam it broke the bank!!

The We exciton does have internal milling. However my exact words yesterday when unboxing it, man feels like to much milling imo. It’s a bit to light for what I like to carry.

That pocket clip can’t be mounted on the other side, because it would curve to the wrong side of the handle and look like dog doo doo. They would have to give you a left handed clip as well. Just saying, that’s probably why they didn’t make it mountable to the other side.

I find it hard to believe there's only 310 of them that exact one must be fan favorite because bladehq has been sold out of them for a while but there are other large knife websites that still have them so idk maybe there is only 310 but it seems like more

They're just coming out in batches. I bought mine on the first drop as well. But more sites have been getting them in one after another. They usually sell out pretty quick

WE definitely makes a quality knife and have tried one of there knives before but they haven't done enough for me to spend more money with them. I really like there fit and finish along with good geometry on most of there models. But for me until I see them or anyone else start hitting 61-62 hrc on there m390/20cv I can't see the knives being worth it.

Around the $600 range, I wouldn’t even consider this. The basic ones at $350, definitely. But I’m the $6-700 price point, you’re in special hinderer, Koenig, entry Shiro and not far off from Herman. I’ll be damned if I going for a China knife with Damascus and regular ano’d titanium. WE missed the mark on the high end ones.

I generally won't spend less than $250-$300 on a knife. I used to spend no more than $100 on a knife, but I got sucked into the world of higher end knives and haven't looked back. Of course my wife isn't exactly happy about my expensive hobby lol. I get what you're saying about losing a pocket knife, I've lost several expensive knives and man, those losses hurt. I hate it when I lose a budget knife. There are a lot of really, really good budget knife makers out there that you would be very pleased with.
