Come on guys, this is like the easiest mystery in the world. A hot girl that is already devoted to you and doing all the work to the start the relationship is a universal target audience in any country or age group. Anime is a business and this fantasy is one of the things on the menu.

Don't make it sound all wonderful. The reality is that it's always and i mean ALWAYS a selfish reason for wanting to bear a child. Even if it's someone you adore, you just want a piece of them. Totally fail.

@@LowellLucasJr. So realistic. Though of course, when somebody's worldview gets shattered and brought back to reality, they seem to handle it most of the time like this. Don't worry, you're average. If that really is a good thing or not is upto you to decide. But the decision will most likely result in a prematurely reply (as expected, but no worries either!)

See, it's crap like Souichiro running away from a beautiful girl that can cook _and_ kick ass that make it hard for me to connect to characters like him. In fact, the all-to-common trope of anime about male characters ignoring or running from romantically aggressive women baffles me.
@tbc18803 жыл бұрын
I mean aggressively romantic women and people in general aren't the most fun or best since they tend to see you more as an object than a person. But when they don't yeah why run? Unless the whole relationship is unhealthy for them seeing as they seem too obsessed over you. But even that's complicated as you can be just what is pushing them through life. So I'd say at least give them a chance if you can, and be supportive to them even in closing. Unless they just see you as an object and not a person, and put the wrong words into your mouth instead of taking the time to decrypt your mind. Then just explain to them that and maybe give them a chance and if they can't then yeah just run.
@Uldihaa3 жыл бұрын
@@tbc1880 Yeah, I agree with the unhealthy obsession thing. But that's rarely the case with anime. It's usually this bizarre cultural thing that women should be demure and shy and pure and ~starts ranting~ ahem. What I'm saying is all too often it leans toward purity culture.
@tbc18803 жыл бұрын
@@Uldihaa I mean, I guess some people want potty mouthed and degenerate women, but aside from comedy and such I don't think they make for very likable characters most of the time.

@@tbc1880 Define "degenerate". Do you mean a woman who isn't ashamed of being attracted to someone? Someone that might ~gasp~ not be a virgin? Someone that isn't a perpetual pre-teen in their perceptions of sex and romance?

What is more unrealistic, the hard charging girl or the harder running boy? I was baffled by this troupe the first few times I saw it. Back when I didn't even realize it was a troupe. I was never quite sure if the writers thought it was hilarious or if the studio was trying to give fan service but keep things G rated at the same time. The 90s were full of either these teasing, go nowhere, relationships or outright _FBI OPEN UP_ type stuff. Neither of it is healthy and pretty messed up when I stop and think about it.
@jemiebridges31973 жыл бұрын
Hee! You realize a lot of these tropes draw from real life. There werent really other options to choose from that didnt outcast you.
