To me, 4 grand is too much money for a single toy. That is what this is, it's a toy. Probably a lot of fun, but that is why it is a toy. Plus, going this fast on a unicycle is just inherently dangerous. A single error could put you in a wheelchair or cemetery.

The tire choice is a tough call for me, this wheel is so versatile. It has the potential to be an awesome street wheel and a great trail/jump wheel. I’ve been leaning 244 to get the best of both worlds. But you’re right the slick on pavement is so fast and nimble it’s a tough call.

Ive been riding my Patton for 5 month now, my first euc, 3000km on it so far... I love it, love the suspension. Just got a winter tire on it and Ì love it.... for street, ice and snow. Its a Heidenau K57 SnowTex , the directional thread get me back on track when its start to spin out sideway And the silica in the rubber compound really make it stick on ice. I dont think I need metal studs for now. Now, watching you, I want a Lynx for next summer! Cheers from Quebec City

Looks like a sweet ride. I love the large rear fender as well. As far as the apps go, the main reason I use the EUC World app is to find the safe speed before I go full send. EUC World lets you know what your safety margin is on your run, so I do my usual ride at lower speeds, and then check the safety margin for the trip. I then bump up the speed and try again, and do this until I get my safety margin down to around 20%, and then call that the max speed that I allow myself to ride on that machine. That way if I hit a pothole, or wind, or something it's not a guaranteed face plant.

The battle for best wheel in 2024 is already over and its the Lynx. The year hasn't even started yet but the race imo is over. I know about the GT Pro @168v but, for the total package, the Lynx wins. I hate having FOMO but it hard not too. The only slight negative is the 2700wh and for most rides thats still enough, especially on a 151v wheel.

I've had that type of suspension success on stock Sherman S and Master with aftermarket air shock. Especially the Sherman S, I've ridden truly rough roads at speed with no loss of traction, footing - even on the stock pedals that aren't that sticky. But fully admit lynx looks next level with all that performance
@urthpainter
@urthpainter 8 ай бұрын
A safe approach to riding a new wheel is riding to a 'comfort level' and not beyond. With more experience on a wheel one's comfort level increases at higher speeds naturally. Forcing max performance on a new wheel is an easy way to get into a wobble crash - there's a lot of examples of this on YT, and it's an experience a lot of riders have in my observation

It’s been a struggle to find a wheel to replace my v12ht, Rusty. I like the range of the Sherman S, the weight and durability of the Shermax, the simplicity of the v12, and the maneuverability and versatility of the Patton. The Lynx fits right in between and therefore makes it the perfect wheel for me. Have a kiddo coming in January and once she’s here and all is good the Lynx is my next wheel. Definitely getting the h626 on it. Will the Sherman S seats fit the Lynx you think? Also, a bunch of your links are not working anymore dude!

I wish an EUC company would design a wrap-around, foldable bike frame sort of thing that could be attached to a wheel, so you could switch back and forth from EUC to E motorbike. I feel like standing up the entire time gets tiring, also only having one wheel contacting the ground presents certain safety/speed limitations as opposed to two wheels. Just my thoughts.

If you compare this wheel to begode Master is it worth the double price? 300Wh more, less powerfull motor, much better suspension. In my opinion newest version of Master is still damm valid wheel and if you ride on the road the suspension is good enough. We blamed Begode for releasing new wheels every few months. Now they are improving Master all the time, for almost 2 years and nobody cares about that wheel... Maybe new wheel every few months works much better :D
@DarthTinderalla-qm9zw
@DarthTinderalla-qm9zw 8 ай бұрын
First I want to know where a master is $2k, or is that used price. I doubt I'd consider it worth double unless riding at the safe limits of your current wheel. The latest and greatest is usually overpriced for minimal improvements but at the rate EUCs are advancing who knows?? maybe? Personally I think the lynx will definitely satisfy me for another year or two before there's a big enough difference I'd want to upgrade again.

You dont know wether you have a huge safety margin as you said because you have not looked to see what the frig its set to. Mock my grammer there jesters.

@@samvenker3137 a free spin test does NOT tell you how fast you can ride a wheel. To look at speedo while riding does NOT tell you if your about to cut out. Beeps or no beeps DOES NOT tell you how fast you can go or wether your about to cut out. Not feeling any tiltback from wheel does NOT tell you it can go faster.

@@samvenker3137 it's likely the Verteran lynx has a display that has options that can be set. A wheel overall is usualy tuned personal to a specific rider, hight weight shoe size and style just to name some factors of setting a wheel to a rider. As far as digital settings go, the only way to know if the options have been turned on or off is to look and read it. Example imagine a new wheel and nobody has ever ridden it, and no options set. Let's say I jump on it and go for a ride. First corner, bam wheel cuts out I hit a parked car, what possibly went wrong? Side cut out angle not set, and soon as you lean over for a fast corner bam dead. Let's say I get revived by the ambulance and get back on wheel, in a straight line this time and hit a tiny pot hole, bam cuts out, what now? Pwm not set. I get scrapped off the bus I just hit and revived again, I jump back on wheel avoiding cornering and pot holes, having fun yet? Bam cuts out, What the frigging hell now? Tilt back was not on. Beeps might be off. 5 cent opinions. Side angle lean 65% Pwm 80% Beeps on to suit. Tilt back on, to suit. As is where is use at own risk. My suggestion is look at what it's set to before riding away. Mr Wrong Way suggestion was 70% pwm for even more safety margin. I say defaults from factory could be set to commonly accepted community expectation. And I say that on behalf of Chooch and others who might not look and get killed. Anyway the lynx looks very impressive. I say do look at the dash before risking riding and know a few basics of expected settings. Ask around is my suggestion. Bet your spine on? 1. Unknown settings. 2. You looked and saw it is OK.

Great work! yes you have to get used to any wheel different from yours, I ride a V12HT for more than 11000 km, a friend of mine didn't get used to his brand new V 12 HS he normally ride a V11 so he sell it to me. V12 HT vs HS seems like the same models but the tire made a huge difference, and the personal pads adjustment drastically change the way to ride so I had to get used to mi new HS at the beginning I had lots of wobbles (I had to much pressure ) I ride the HS with less pressure than the HT, now I'm in love with HS but I had difficult time to get used to it. mi 15 year old dougther will keep the hs I am looking to upgrade to the Linx

I like the street a lot, I’m finding some hard packed fire roads to really open it up and ride fast, this wheel benefits from the street tire honestly. Not really a technical trail wheel although it’s fine for it. It’s more like rally car, than a dirt bike type riding I’m doing on it. If that helps 🤣

Is it possible to try and use and share EUC World Tour on one of your casual 75km/hr'ish rides (hopefully with at least 50km/hr average riding speed). Just curious how efficient it really is at higher speeds.

Yeah, that's the problem. Because depending on when you bought your V12HT and, the mileage, you really shouldn't feel the desire for a new wheel. That is and was a perfectly good wheel when released. But, in less than 2 years it's outdated. If I was a newbie and highly motivated, I probably wouldn't buy the V12 again. Yet, for me it's a great wheel. But, like you, I need and want more speed and suspension.

@@christopherclements4707 In my humble opinion. If you drive city or Light trails the 62 is way to go. If you making jumps I would consider 66. But again depends how much do you plan to ride? If you will jump only 5% of the time on your euc. Then I would definetly pick 62 cadilac feel suspension. Note that currently patton suspension one side costs like 200 euro. In worst case scenario you will be able to switch lynx ones for like 500 euro. But again it is my humble opinion 🙂

I think about this too when I go on solo adventure motorcycle rides. Sometimes to very remote area no cell service and just me and my tools I carry. This keeps most people from living life and doing such stuff. Things can always go wrong, but there is always a way out or back. Carry some cash, cash is king and you can find someone usually that will get you safely back, help you or whatever needed if you give them some cash to do so. Most people are nice and will help where I am, but a $50 or a $100 will get you out of many bad situations, and be worth the cost. Knock on a door if you need to, been caught in a lightning storm on the motorcycle and that’s the only option sometimes. Cheers and safe travels! Carry what you can to be self sufficient, but beyond that just be resourceful.
