This lens just popped up on my radar today. I have moved away from my Canon Eos-R for some time now due to my Samsung S23 Ultra having such a superior camera and video camera (including the amount of megapixels) but this wide angle will be much nicer for my real estate shoots.

@@jumpcutapocalypse8194 Really! The video camera on the S23 Ultra pisses on the video on the EOS-R. Maybe the wide angle on the S23 U is not as good but certainly the standard camera has a much better image quality and mega pixel count. Prove me wrong.

You can use a very long shutter speed for such a wide lens, so it might work

Go to Philippe Reeve's webseite. He tested bouth. Laowa is definitally "better" (and quiet a bit wider despite also named 9mm. Here, this video He admits that he does not go in depth... Yes. And he doesn't even bother (nice respect for us !) to see if other places did better then him before him.)

Can’t say I’ve used it to compare! But really cannot complain at all on the quality of this one, really nice for its price! Think it’s a bit cheaper than the Laowa and still performs better in some ways from the review you’ve mentioned. So definitely worth considering. Interesting on the wideness but definitely wouldn’t want too much wider it’s already pretty crazy 😂

With how high you can push ISO on a lot of cameras these days I’m still pretty keen to give it a crack. This wide you can even push the shutter slightly longer too. Interesting to see how it goes
