The thing I love most about this first portion of the game is how insanely broken you can make anything. I've seen so many different busted strategies and each one is so unique and fun. Heads up, the devs are working on an addon called Kaycee'e mod which expands this section of the game vastly with more bosses, events, characters, and a planned finale. It's in an open beta right now but if you really liked this section of the game, it might be worth checking back on in a month or two.

I feel bad Charlie’s chat was being so awful to him during the whole steam and the chat (that have probably not played the game yet) told him to sacrifice child 13 on the goat skull alter and the reason was child 13 has a digit for when it is sacrificed it doesn’t die but any sigil only works while in a game. Child 13 is also just a really good card in general because every time you sac them they change form to a 2-1 card and when you sac it again it changes back to 0-1

Every act adds a couple of new mechanics, and starting at act 2, there are a bunch of new characters and you can start to see some lore. Charlie has only played act 1 currently.

Two tips to inscription 1. First, always try to get the “worthy sacrifice” totem, and combine it with the squirrel head. It’s SO busted. Or, search. Second: get 2 or 3 pelts, get the mantis god, and something with 3 or more attack, then die. If you’re lucky, you can use the pelt for cost (free) the mantis god for sigil, and the buffed wolf for attack. You know have a card that can single phase any opponent and give you 3 gold teeth extra.

The first area will always be my favorite. I always intentionally kept myself there because of just how good it was compared to the others, which lacked the sort of DM-Style feel and heart that they put into it.

the draws and other events in the game are probably based on an initial seed, this means that if you repeat the same actions within the game (e.g redoing an encounter) you will get the same initial draw and enemy placement

zombie ant build is the most OP build in this game. get the ant queen and a worker ant, sacrifice the queen on the alter to give the sigil to the worker, then rng your way to a cockroach so you can give its sigil to the ant, then rng your way to find an ant sigil bottle for your squirrel cards. now you have a near infinite army of ants and you just steamroll the whole leshy section of the game.

When I saw that Charlie kept on quitting the game so that he didn’t lose progress i instantly lost respect for him playing the game because if you know you’re going to lose you should accept the fact you’re going to lose and try a different deck or play better while trying to get the same cards by re rolling cards or trading with golden pelts to get rare cards.

@@sleeeto Nah I still find Charlie to be a good KZbinr it’s just that I didn’t like that he cheesed the game by exiting the game so that he’d load back to a previous save so that he won’t have to start all over again. It’s a bit like playing any dark souls game and having it so that you don’t lose your souls when you die. The whole point is to lose your souls when you die because you can die in the game and have no consequences and the game would be too easy. I like difficult games because there’s nothing better than the feeling of being stuck on a boss or a level for a couple of hours or days and then you finally beat them. I don’t try to use any cheese in my strategies as it just ruins the feeling. I never said I lost respect for Charlie himself I only said I lost respect for the way he was playing the game, that’s what I meant.
