From wikipedia: "with small cracks rapidly growing into catastrophic breakages when centripetally stressed at 10,000-13,000 rpm". Typical 4-4,5" angle grinders had 10000+ rpm, so the CD revs in the catastrophic range. In the specs, CD-s max rev can be 23k rpm, but in real world tests, the cd-s explode bellow 12-13k rpm. DVD-s are more durable, but above 13k rpm there is a high chanse of disk explode (in specs the max rpm of DVD-s are 32k rpm).

DON'T DO THIS. The CD is not build for this purpose and can break, when it does, small sharpen pieces fly at high speed in any direction. You can harm yourself or somebody else.

This video is an absolute crime! Suggesting the use of an item totally inappropriate for its design is criminal in my opinion. Wait till someone does this, gets seriously hurt and sues the content "creator".

This guy doesn't know how to use angle grinder,and encouraging other people to get hurt.Learn first the safety use of this tool and what are appropriate disks to attach on. There are lots of safety tutoring procedure in many YT channels.😮
