A little correction: array[position] = value ;

Recall that you should loop till your index is less or equal to n in the final printing loop to display the last element.

why we need to take (pos-1) if we want to put the value in the index 3 we can directly give for(int i=0;i>=pos;i--)

GDB can better answer your question, so debug your code by watching carefully the values taken by pos and i.
