Inside 3 turns - the easy way!

My inside 3 turns have been labored and awkward since I learned them months ago. This video unlocked smooth effortless ones for me today! I'm so excited. It was the tip to bring your free leg outside the circle that did it for me. Thank you so much! No one's been able to tell me what I was doing wrong.

After 6 months of trying and failing I finally - unexpectedly - nailed the FI3T in BOTH directions yesterday. The irony is that I'd given up trying, my coach said, let's try a right forward inside-3 and I just shrugged and said 'meh' then immediately executed one perfectly. Cue my stunned expression. I followed this up with another one on the left leg - also perfect. So it seems to be that endless failure for months plus videos like yours = success. Majorly chuffed. I'm 57, so if i can learn this skill, anyone can. Long post, soz.

Thank you for this video. I’ve been learning skating for 3 years, and I still can’t do left forward inside 3 turn well. Now I finally see my problem. I lock my hip forward all the time. Once I try your tips and move my right leg backward, my hip starts turning, and then I can make the turn. Thank you so much. ❤

When I skated I struggled with the right forward inside three. Even the backward inside turns weren't so difficult. My instructors couldn't figure out why. Since I didn't have any desire to test or compete I just let it go.

@@iskatecoach No I was struck by a car and fractured my knee. That leg is too crooked. The only way I skate now is with a Karben skate aid.
