I started watching Enes when he had 300k subscribers. It's crazy how much the production value has grown. You can tell he's passionate about everything he does. It's an interesting design. They moved the gym to the garage, the office to the guest house, and set up a bar and spa in a small corner. What did they do with the remaining space? Sitting areas, more sitting areas, and even more sitting areas. You can imagine how to enjoy this property: wake up and sit for a few minutes in each sitting area or dining area, and then the day is over. 😂

from the little glimpse of the footage of this property they took the first time, it looks like it would have been way more interesting. the landscaping was more lush and the furnishings had way more character. i feel like it's been stripped down and trying to look more minimalist california modern. that house deserves so much better staging and it showed with just a flash of what it used to look like.

Dude it's called staging for sell. Residential properties for sell are stage to be very "neutral" so that potential buyers can see themselves and their ideas and not the current owner or overdone by a designer/stager. If a buyer can't see themselves or their ideas or are turned off by the owners' aesthetic in a home for sale they often won't be able to get past that and loose interest. It's a house tour of a home for sale not a tour of/about the home owner. That's what channels/videos like Homeworthy, Handmade, Apartment Therapy, Never Too Small, Blavity... are for.

I built the first new home in this neighborhood back in 1989. Casa Pacifica was the only other residence for years. Used to walk my dog on this lot and check out the surf from the bluff. There was a beach in front of the railroad tracks that was 30-50 yards wide with beautiful white sand. We had an access gate right in front of the beach. You had to cross the railroad tracks to get to the beach but honestly that was no big deal. I lived there for 9 years and loved it! I like surfing Lowers but if Cotton Point was firing, that's where I would go. It can be as good as Lowers but it's fickle so unless you live there, it's easy to miss the magic days where it's perfect with almost no one out. But in 2024, unfortunately the beach at Cotton Point has been almost completely eroded away. The waves break right on the rocks supporting the railroad track. As far as I know the access gate to Trestles beach located about 100 feet north of this property is still functional but when you cross the railroad tracks you're in the water, so for most people it's useless. You can walk along side the railroad tracks and go under the trestle at Upper Trestles to get to a nice beach, but it's a scary walk if a train goes by. Cypress Shores allowed Cotten Point residents beach access but you have to go out the gated entrance to the neighborhood and around the corner which would be at least a 15 minute walk. Without direct access to a beach, this property is really compromised. There's direct ocean access, but not direct beach access. In the 90's it was amazing. Beach access aside, for the location I'd still say for a surfer this is a fabulous property!

I almost bought this house about four years ago, but the owners would not move off of the price. I think it was about $37M at the time. They've spent four years of upkeep/taxes and a few million to make minor upgrades, and now they are asking $55M. This is the perfect example of cutting off your nose to spite your face. It's going to be a wash in the end. The family does not need the money, but to keep it on market for hopes of making a couple percentage points is mind blowing. I'm still looking at it, as well as a few others that I know of, but they aren't willing to budge. The only comp in the area is their neighbor, and they think the owner of this house is out of their mind.

I had the same thoughts regarding asking prices being absurd due to lack of comps. This happens all the time in the Hamptons as well. Properties come onto the market with a huge sticker, sit for years, and then sell at 60% of the original listing. I haven't looked at this property since the last time it sold, but I assumed it was a company that purchased it and not a family. The renovations are good quality but it has lost a lot of its character. I'm glad Enes touched on the railroad tracks as well because that was a concern of mine. Good to know it's a quick passenger train and not a slow freight coming through at crazy hours. I remember an old video touring this property, (I think by Coldwell?) and the person doing the tour asked the listing agent who they were targeting to purchase a property like this. They said a Russian Oligarch or Saudi Royal family lol.

Honestly, I loved Mikey but Cody sounds better and more articulate.

Who is he? Can you link his credentials or videos of his own? If not, go advertise leeching somewhere else.

Enes can you add a little map of house in every section so that we know where exactly it is.

OK, I've been a fan of Enes forever, but he just GOT me with his discussion about plaster walls (around 10:15)...he is SO RIGHT about the character that old-fashioned plaster provides to otherwise ordinary walls.

Haven't been on the channel for a while. Great vid to come back to... Where's Mikey?

What THE ONE is beautiful
@DORSEYLANDRIAАй бұрын
@@reginashaw4602 when you really take a close look at it ,it's crap. It's heartless. Soulless and just crap. The movie theater is tight but the rest is just....crap. no style. No intricate details.

This house is not worth 55 million, I would pay 20m

The house is worth 20 million. The land it sets on is worth another 30 million 😅

Yorumun, kameramanın işi, videonun kalitesi, sesler vs. her şey süper.

My sister owns a house 2 doors down. There are 7 properties that were sub-divided from the original Nixon estate. Her house was built on the original property and I believe this one was as well.
