Surely those first couple of stone fireplaces are not original Georgian, as she said. The house has been made into a modern house for someone with money but little respect for the origins of the house. It’s no better nor any the more original than a standard Wimpey/Barratt “executive home”.

You’ll be telling us it’s under a ‘slate roof’ next ! Estate agents’ cadswallop ! … and the interior is definitely not Georgian - it’s a stylist’s wet dream. … it’ll be bought by North Cheshire foot-baller who’ll insist on ‘plastik windders’ despite its listed status. His girl-friend will fill the place with bling.
