The thing I Love about Born and Bred New Yorkers or those who are Transplants living in New York is their gratitude for small spaces, odd spaces and industrial spaces. They will take anything and turn it into a functional and comfortable living space. ❤

One of the most realistic spaces I've seen people act like they don't own stuff. Being human is normal she definitely doesn't mind being herself. I like the fact that she showcases her space it takes courage to do these tours. Continue being great love your vibe especially since you are a creative like myself.

I love this space. Although it's not quite "my vibe" I think she has great personal style and she knows what works for her. I agree with pretty much everything she said, ESPECIALLY about the bathroom. I'm an artist who leans toward maximalism too, and fill my walls with art. I live in a large house in L.A. and when I moved in it had an all-marble, spa master bathroom. I pimped the hell out of it, painting the walls a soft pink (blush, really) and all the cabinets a forest green that's almost black. Changed out the square mirrors for some vintage ones, changed the drawer pulls and also painted in the green/black and put lots of art up. Oh, and I love her photography. Slay, Sydney!!!

We are in the midst of having the exterior painted right this second! I'll send some photos to you of the interior. It's a work in progress, as they say. We plan to die in this house so we've got lots of time to do all we want -- I THINK we have "lots of time". That's one of the great things, we are not worried about selling it so everything we do to it is for ourselves, the way we live and what we like.

I love Sydney's "nightclub" bathroom. I like the idea of a bathroom decor with a favorite nightclub theme. We all have a decor style that makes us feel at home. This is hers. How sweet, she has a loving poochie dog.

I love this space too. It has so much going on, but its pleasantly organzied and its inviting. Pops of color, texture, mood..... It works. All the natural light is beautiful, and she clearly has a green thumb hence all the greenery.....unless it's all fake.....which I doubt ❤.

You got a really good deal on that $40 mirrored end table, I would have bought it too. Also, that abstract painting you found was a real find. It was obviously painted by a pro. I love it. It looks like the contractor did a Venetian plaster technique on your bathroom walls, also very cool. I too love the nightclub feel:-) Your mustard-yellow sofa with whimsical throw pillows are fun. I have "The Kiss" as well but it's in storage because I'm a maximalist too, not enough room. lol I know I'm forgetting some of the highlights but thought I'd mention a few:-) 🧚

Love that! I found 2 pieces on the fab streets of NY while walking my dogs and carried them home. The dogs couldn't figure out why I was trying to juggle things plus their leashes but for the sake of art, they understood (I'd like to think. LOL

I really love this lady’s vibe that she gives off! Unfortunately, she maxed out on her own style of maximalist artistic expression that comes across really youthful, she is a young lady. She seems really smart and talented! I’m happy to see she appreciates artists who are her real friends and that is cool that she wants to show appreciation by hanging every single art item. Maybe, do an edit for her to be able to have room for empty space. There’s a reason that empty space is needed, to allow people to breathe and self-healing time to chill. Anyway, she is a photographer that I would love to check out! Hopefully she can get a place of her own or even use a co-op space for her to work out of her home. I feel that may help her out as she grows.

Yes this is what I love about homes like this and how I curate my own. I have original priceless artwork next to a kids drawing I found in a thrift and framed. Good art is good art and being able to put it all together cohesively is an art in itself. That’s what Sydney has done here. I love their energy. It shows in the space.

Well, I was raised with manners a long time ago, when speaking about other people’s financial situation was a taboo subject. Jump four decades and it’s literally asked by random strangers who are content creator/works from home/ has a Peter Pan syndrome, meaning that you don’t want to grow up but you rely 100% on your parents and you don’t feel bad that they pay everything for you. Wake up to the real world and go get a job.

Hi! I pay $2300/month. I’ve been here over 3 years and it’s rent stabilized. As for the comment below- I am not a trust fund kid. My parents pay $0 in my living expenses. They actually refused to co-sign when I turned 18, I’ve gotten this place + every place before on my own with my own income and credit. I do work as well, I’m a fashion photographer :)
