Those Snoop Dogg GPens are garbage. They're not a true dry herb vaporiser. The coil just ends up burning your product, even with a glass filter. Airistech Herbva 5g is a nice pocketable size with a ceramic chamber that is heated externally, which actually carboxylises the herb. The ceramic chamber tastes awesome as well, in comparison to a stainless steel chamber.

I need to get myself an explosion containment pie dish. I was replacing the LiPo in my electric toothbrush, when I realized it started to get warm. I was prying it gently to try to get it out. I didn't think I punctured it. I got afraid, and just froze, while continuing to feel the temperature between my fingers. "Was it from the soldering? Or is it reacting? Oh no..".. My mind raced as I imagined the battery vent out lots of smoke and trying to think of a place to throw it and not cause a fire. Ultimately, it never actually got any warmer and nothing happened. I probably shouldn't have kept feeling it between my fingers, but I just had to know if it was getting hotter and going to explode.

When I had my first episode of blood clots back in 2007 (I didn't know what I had, and I almost died as the clot broke off and jammed my heart valves open, twice. I had survived "The Widowmaker" according to the doctor), my first reaction to my diagnosis was extreme anger..my body had broken down and I could not fix it. In the years following (especially 2009when I had a repeat episode) I was so angry and stressed that my regular doc warned me I would die from a heart attack due to stress. not the clots. As I get closer to 60 (I am going to be 58 in Jan.) which is the same age my dad passed after open heart surgery, I worry that I am next. However, so far I am doing better, your videos help a lot. The low capacity cell is normal, it's the type used in power tools and can sustain high-current discharges, but because of the internal construction (thicker electrode plates, waved instead of spiral-wound), has lower capacity than the "energy" cells used in other things like laptops. That is an interesting concept, but from my own incense burning (or better: vaporizing) experience, I'd say it's a bit flawed. I only use incense that comes in the form of globs of hardened tree sap, so no herbs or anything among that. And I have had the best experience with putting it into the aluminium shell of a tea light candle, placing this shell above another tea light candle and then letting it get vaporized. For a greater longevity of the incense that is being burned, adding water from a spay bottle is greatly helpful, because otherwise, the incense doesn't just melt and then slowly cook to vaporize, but actually gets burnt and stinky quite quickly (I even once triggered my smoke alarm, because I wanted to test how it works without the water). Oh, and yes, it is advisable to free the upper aluminium shell in which the incense sits from any waxy or gluey residue from the tea light candle. That was easier in the past, when the candles weren't glued in, nowadays it's a bit more challenging, but basically, once you've gotten one or two of these shells, you can always reuse them, since the incense, when it's all used up and cooled down, just breaks apart and falls out without leaving much residue itself, also the aluminium is soft enough (almost plyable) so that you can deform it to losen the incense from the shell and that way break it up and dump it out. This thing however doesn't take care not to burn the incense, but only vaporize it, so that makes it somewhat suspect for me (although I agree that it would be a great gimmick to use, instead of burning candles, but oh well). It certainly is a much more cost efficient method of doing it, but I think my method is already highly cost efficient, because I don't have to buy and burn the coal tablets, which can't even be shut off if you think the place is sufficiently smoked out, so they are really wasteful.

I just had a discussion with my brother about powerbanks, and during that conversation one thought came to my mind: What would happen if you plugged one powerbank into another via USB-C (assuming that both support charging as well as supplying power through the same USB-C port)? I don't have the means to test this right now, and the answer would probably depend on the circuitry used, but I wonder what the most likely outcome would be. Would it just push power back and forth until the charging losses drained both batteries, do they share their power until both reach the same level of charge, or would this potentially fry something?

They're double-sided, one side hook the other loop. Really strong stuff, great for cable management or in the garden even.

The mystery chip - emx18z, appears to be an npn+non low VCE (sat) Transistor. Also comes up with umx18n. Though the data sheet says it's 12v..... mouser has the pdf for what I located.

Clive did you notice that the big chip in the center is missing two legs on one end the chip could have had an extra pair of connectors on the board. Does that mean the chip that they created for it did not work?
@Peter_S_
@Peter_S_ 4 жыл бұрын
It's likely the microcontroller they used is available in multiple packages with one option having two more I/O pins. That footprint with the extra markings on the silkscreen layer for minimal insulation gives them the option of using a 2nd version of the chip depending on availability. Your observation could likely lead to somebody identifying the microcontroller as well. Good spotting!

The heater coil looks very similar to the ones that used to be in car cigarette lighters. (I say 'used to' because car cigarette lighters seem to have gone away, although the outlets for them are usually there, and often in larger numbers. The last vehicle I had with a cigarette lighter was bought over 20 years ago.)

Yeah, but you can buy the lighter separately if you have the outlet. Or you can buy the whole system(plug&outlet) and install it yourself.
