Dharavi generates close to 1 billion worth economy has many businesses such as leather, plastic recycling etc. and also had the Guinness Record of most number of workers doing laundry service... people choose to live their because rent is oower compared to other parts of Mumbai and the proximity to their homes is beneficial for their business in the financial capital
