With the exception of one hook verse, all the lyrics are in English. This and other songs like Silly God Disco are prime examples of how diverse their material is with different styles….they can go from up-in-da-club catchy to quasi-doom metal dark and heavy, like Dogma...and everything in-between! Their early material, i.e. all their EPs and their first 2 albums (Disorder and Nil) have a lot of punk influence. Their entire catalog, every single album/EP, is quite a delicious musical journey! I went from smitten kitten to IN LOVE fairly quickly. 😸❤ Lead singer is Ruki, long-since rumored to be hide’s son...that ridiculousness was actually what brought The GazettE to my attention. He is NOT hide’s heir apparent; they just happen to share the same family name (Matsumoto). And yeah, I guess he does look a little like Kamijo here but only because of his hair and make-up. Guitarist Aoi (pronounced Ow-Ee) did not have the side of his hair partially shaved - it was just a splash of blonde. NO COMMENT on my crush Uruha (You-Roo-Ha!) being blindfolded and tied to a chair. 😹💥🙀

Hi~! I'm gonna hop on and say that this is one of my favourite bands of all times. I def recommend checking out concert recordings instead of MVs since the Gazette is just an awesome live band. As for the song, it's a show banger. I can't stress enough how much more hun and energetic it sounds live compared to the cd recording. Ruki's energy (the vocalist) hypes up the crowd so much that this becomes almost a metal club rave lol I think personally they are one of the most versatile bands in v-kei and if you could share what type of music you prefer the recommendations would be much more precise I think a good suggestion would be Ominous or Nakigahara as perfect examples of emotional ballads. So far you've seen more fun side of the band and I would love to show you how they also can do emotionally captivating music :)

Well said! I am a newer, East Coast USA fan and it is my ultimate goal to see them live...I have been blown away by all concert footage I have seen so far. I am still learning and discovering! Either or both of your suggestions would be excellent for the First Listens (although I may give the bigger nod to Ominous)....Shane, if you are reading, consider this an endorsement!

Visual kei is in between a music genre and fashion style in Japan and can be possibly compared to glam rock in the West These bands aim to express themselves not only as musicians but with bright clothes and makeup worn on stage the Gazette is one of the top-tier bands in that style, they have been playing since 2002 and I definitely recommend checking out their discography since they've got all different styles of music throughout these years. Recent albums are more dark and goth (Dogma, Ninth), older works can be rock'n'rollish (NIL), electronic (Toxic, Beautiful Deformity), very conceptual as well (DIM)
