Is Buckingham Palace destined to become the British version of the Palacio Real in Madrid? A colossal show-piece of art and architecture used now and then for state occasions, but not actually lived in by the sovereign? Speaking of the Frith painting, I'm reminded of the miniseries Edward VII from 1975. The new king overrode his wife's objections that Buckingham Palace was 'cold, ugly and impractical' because the symbolic value of the sovereign 'living at HQ' was paramount.
@maureentaphouse52064 ай бұрын
It seems that the living quarters are all in the North Wing with the remainder for administration and ceremonial uses. During my visit I was told that the rooms are used for many different purposes so it is very much a mix of ceremonial and practical uses. Buildings need to be used or they become rarified atmospheres and you can sense the lack of life. Long may it continue to be used .

@@maureentaphouse5206 agreed! While the king and other members of the royal family have offices in the palace I don't believe the king currently lives there (Clarence House is a stone's throw away and BP will undergo renovations for a very long time)... likewise the emperor and empress of Japan were put up at Claridges during the recent state visit. Are these arrangements temporary? Or permanent...

Isn't it "Queen Consort" Camilla???
@spoffspoffington3 ай бұрын
@@steelman86 No they dropped "consort" before the coronation. Probably with encouragement from The Times newspaper of London. Consort is an unnecessary adjective because everyone knows that the wife of King Charles III is not a queen regnant. Albert needed to be titled Prince Consort to raise his status from a minor German prince to a fitting husband for Queen Victoria. George VI solved an incipient similar problem by making his eldest daughter's husband a Royal Duke. Although apparently overlooking his error in not formally styling him a UK Royal Highness - perhaps being ill-advised by His Majesty's Private Secretary (and nephew) who was always a bit chippy about Philip, being only the younger son of an earl whereas Philip had been a Prince of both Greece and Denmark. He may also have had his nose put out of joint by Elizabeth refusing to entertain the idea of marrying him herself. Before her own accession she was HRH The Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh. I think the title Prince Consort was too much associated with Albert, who had been criticised for being too politically influential and a bit old-fashioned for 1952.

@@filleauparadis7633 The revolution was carried out with British money with the active participation of Ambassador Buchanan. It was the English diplomat Stopford who participated in the removal of the greatest treasures of the Russian imperial family, which by that time had already become the national treasure of the republic. It was then that the imperial tiaras were captured by England by deception, and the heiress, Princess Ksenia Alexandrovna (sister of Nicholas II) was against it! In the 1920s, the British government supported the Bolshevik regime and minted money for the USSR, pushing the Bolsheviks to sell off cultural property. All together, this is a direct and hidden robbery of the cultural heritage of Russia.

Much private money is also raised to fund renovation projects such as the one for Buckingham Palace thou art rebuking. Let it be reiterated that under a monarchy, the people are subjects, and ye all wilt render under Caesar that which is Caesar's. Furthermore, if thee thineself art poor or know people that are, let Our Royal Person in turn ask questions. Art thou carefully frugal with thine own finances? Dost thou waste any of thy hard-earned wages on nonsense, and then wonder why there is not enough left over? Or, perhaps the Parliament has over-taxed the public. In which case, we sympathize with thee as We too have been on the receiving end of injustice by the way of 'the apostate status quo establishment,' the people that think run this world. Our Royal Person is a patrilineal Plantagenêt and a maternal Windsor. We hereby publicly confess that we absolutely HATE the Parliament with every fiber of Our being. The Parliament has always been guilty for robbing from the Public Treasury, thereby delaying actual progress that could be achieved for the benefit of everyone. The problem is that what is in place (unlawfully and illegitimately) is a 'constitutional monarchy,' which limits the power and influence of 'the British Sovereign.' But, here is 'the good news,' literally, as much of it comes from prophecies delineated in 'the Holy Scriptures.' 'The British Empire' is going to be restored to its God-ordained purpose and former glory, and it will appropriately be ruled over by an 'absolute monarch,' 'the Christian British Emperor.' In IV Ezra / II Esdras chapters 11-12, 'the anointed lion conqueror' 🦁 overcomes and then re-absorbs 'the partitioned eagle' or 'three-headed eagle' 🦅 which represents 'the Pharisaic system of central banking,' 'the military industrial complex,' and America. This 'anointed lion' is 'Elijah the prophet' / 'the third Elijah' (Malachi 04: 05-06). Foretold by The Messiah Himself, this 'Elijah' goes through wilderness training (Mark 09: 11-13) and afterwardly is sent out 'to restore all things' (Mâttîthyâhûw 17: 10-12). He rides upon a male white horse, armed with a bow, a crown is given unto him, and he goes forth conquering, and to conquer (Revelation 06:02). He claims all of the kingdoms and empires in which he has lawful blood claims to so that much of the world is directly under Christian rule and governance, beginning firstly with the British Empire 🇬🇧. Why? The British Empire is known for two reasons: (01) it is the largest empire ever in human history and (02) it helped spread 'the Pure Gospel of Christ' onto every habitable continent, by land and by sea. The Emperor is a Judahite as revealed in the dual prophecy of 'Shiloh,' a title of endearment he shares with The Messiah (Genesis 49:10) because he restores his people to their long-ago-established inheritances, particularly in 'the Holy Land.' This also means that this Elijah is 'the watchman' and 'the prince' foretold by Ezekiel, and that he is the anointed King whom will commission the building of 'the third Hebrew Temple,' specifically situated in 'the City of David' spanning all across 'Mount Zion' (750' x 750'). Particular to Britannian prophecies, he is 'Y Mab Darogan' ("the prophesied son") as well as fulfilling the prophecy of 'Rex quondam rexque futurus' ("a King once, and a King to be"). He will be endowed with 'the anointing of the spirit and power of Êlîyyâhûw' (AY-LEE-YAH-HOO) so that he may serve as both an absolute monarch and as a Levite High Priest. His grand commission is to usher in 'the Age of Restoration' and oversee 'the great harvest of souls' as a proper Shepherd. As troubles and drama have consumed 'the British Royal Family,' it is the charge and mantle of 'the one, true Emperor' to set matters aright, not only with 'the British Imperial House of Windsor,' but also with righting a great many historic wrongs, thus the words of Christ fulfilling the Emperor's command 'to restore all things.' Why are the legends of '(King) Arthur' still revered by so many?! It is because 'Artoris filius Eutherius' / 'Arthur ap Uthyr' / 'Arthur, the son of Uther' was the founder of 'the [original] United Kingdom,' was a reformer in law and jurisprudence, helped recompense justice for his subjects, and he too went forth conquering. Arthur was not only 'the High King of Britannia,' he was also an Imperātōr, as archaeology and Welsh manuscripts and scrolls verify. Arthur (12/25/A.D. 0479 - 02/15/A D. 0538) was not only of Briton descent, but of imperial Roman and Judahite descent. So, given that he 'did that which was right in the sight of The LORD,' that is what is required in the British world today. Many of Our Windsor cousins are not Christians, and they certainly do not know anything about law and jurisprudence. Wearing custom-made tailored clothing and being chauffeured around does not make someone royal. To be a 'true royal' whilst actually possessing royal blood legitimately is to be a TRUE Biblical Christian, to shepherd the people towards righteousness, to be an example worthy of emulation, to be dutiful and not self-involved, and to be an 'anointed Servant of The LORD God.' Monarchy is The LORD God's government on Earth as He is 'The King of Kings.' When a royal personage does 'The LORD's work' in spirit and in truth, that individual is a 'true royal.' Loving one's people and doing right by them naturally brings attention to them, and there is no need to go seeking fame and glory. Yet, which so-called royals do exactly that?! Hmmm 🤔. So, in answering to any complaints, real or imagined, by lowly commoners amongst the general populace, heed Our sound Christian counsel to ye all: Repent and obey 'the Ten Commandments.' Do not complain about palaces getting renovated because such tasks actually employ people, those with impeccable skills in craftsmanship. Historic preservation means a great deal to those of high and low estate, and it provides the public with knowledge and education on history and human ingenuity. Always consider 'the much larger bigger picture' and not present day politics. For Buckingham Palace to be blessed with necessary renovation work is a gift for both the monarchy and for the people, just in time for 'the true and rightful British Sovereign' to arrive and move in, as it is his palace 'by right of law.' P.S. Any one who sends any negative comments against the character of Our Royal Person will be noted, and they will be charged with 'the Crime of Lése-majestè.' Be very careful with your words, people.
