Agree. It's full of personality and personal touches...and I can tell by that that they are European. That's what a house should be, have unique style. Lots of villas and mansions in USA looks alike a lot in terms of interiors...of course it depends on the owner; but let's be honest, Europeans have better taste, because they actually live and enjoy their homes. Loved the bathrooms and the De Gournay wallpaper is gold.
@briannajoslyn92955 жыл бұрын
@@nahla__ Agree, I love that they seem to really live in their house, though I might not paint Europeans as a whole with the same brush. I'm an American who moved to Sweden, and one of the first things I noticed was that everyone's house, rich or not, was exactly the same and entirely from IKEA with almost no personality 😄 Trying to find unique anything is rather challenging.
@nahla__5 жыл бұрын
@@briannajoslyn9295 yes Brianna, I was generalising, of course not all europeans; scandinanvian countries have a different style, quite minimal and modern, in fact this style is called scandinavian interiors. It depends often and mostly on the upbringing and, sadly to say, the possibilities a person has, since not everyone can afford custom made De Gournay wallpapers and designs...they for sure can :-) and British do love wallpapers, painted walls and gardens. I am italian and I can tell we have a natural care and passion for styling our homes. Of course it is personal and depends, again, on the upbringing and the family etc etc...but we do love to have our houses styled in a personal way and we really care about taking care of our homes; I think french people and others as well. I personally love wallpapers in strategic areas or positioned on a specific wall and painted walls with some hues like Grey's or greens, or blues or pastels, depending on the area of the house. I had one of my bathrooms, a guest bathroom's wall covered with a wallpaper with flowers and birds in a medium range of tones and turned out beautiful and very intimate. I love plants at home, and gardens. I think a home has to be lived, I personally don't like minimal interiors and also too baroque/redundant. Ant their home I think is lovely and easy to live in :-) have a good sunday 🌷

Nahla _ I’m European but I would never, ever, in my dreams decorate my house like this. I actually love the American style. Clean, cozy and aesthetically pleasing while looking high end at the same time. Remember, you can’t say one style is less personal than the other, because personalities are just as diverse as the things we build and create according to what characteristics we have. I am a calm, simple person by nature, it’s who I am, so if I made my room all red and put green botanical wallpapers all over my house, just to make it more interesting to others, that would not be full of personality because it doesn’t represent who I am and what kind of a person I am. And that’s fine. An all white house may mean the person isn’t as outgoing and likes things to be organised and structured (like me for example), so how isn’t this showing my personality? Different things inspire us. We see something we like and we want to have that same thing because it fits _our_ idea of beautiful.
@nahla__5 жыл бұрын
@@thewelcometochannel of course is a matter of personal taste and personality, that's how a home should be...representing ourselves. This is definitely a things I support and made as mine, my home represents my personality, style and soul. I love to mix high end design with simple things, love colours in each different room and area of the house that complement one another, love high end wallpapers in small bathroom and lots of light in my main personal one, with flowers and bonsai. I agree with you. Each one is different. But let's be honest, Europeans have more taste and personal one than Americans... it's part of our culture. Said that I am not criticizing or insulting or putting down others but we have a variety of cultural background, style and so on..more than others. I am Italian btw. Have a lovely night 🌷
