To be honest, they saved the world. If the situation at Chernobyl ended up hitting the water reservoir’s it would’ve entered the black sea, then spread across the entire globe. Normal people doing what they were told to, not expecting to be heroes. Totally agree tho fella. Respect to all who helped stop Armageddon and died in the most painful way possible because of it. At 5:30 in the video you can hear the interference in the camera sound from a high radiation field by the entrance to the basement. I remember seeing another video by a different KZbinr who was walking around the exclusion zone and the same thing happened to his camera. So i run a little math to estimate his radioactive radiation exposure because I was worried 1 micro sievert is equivalent roughly to an single x ray scan, 1 milli sievert is a 1000 times greater and roughly what we are exposed to naturally in one year of existence. Health regulations suggest to avoid being exposed to more than one milli sievert per year, so 1000 micro sieverts. That guy's meter was measuring in micro sieverts/hour so a reading of 1 would mean around 0.00036 x-ray scans per second. In some points of the video the meter was registering 400 micro sieverts, which means an exposure equivalent to one x-ray scan for every 10 seconds at that level, this starts to be scary honestly..
@zavaroudikos4 жыл бұрын
Correct but wrong. The 400 was when he had the counter one centimeter from the boots sole. When he stands up this goes like 20 times less. Just some meters away the number was just twice of the normal. So if he chopped off a piece from the sole and eat it, that would Fuck him up definitely, but staying there for 5 minutes will get him way way less radiation thank if he flies at 38.000 ft from London to New York. Which is something millions of people do daily (long distance flights). At least before the corona. Nothing to worry about..
