Info about this video: First please comment if you have any info about the content that we may have missed in the video or if you have any questions. We would love to hear from you. Please be gentle I have researched to the best of my knowledge and created scripts / Voice overs from the research. Everything is summarized so I did leave out some info just to keep the video in the 30 minute range which is where I like to keep our content. Music came from - my Storyblocks account. Images and old film - mentioned below. Video location 1:34 ________________________________________ Tri Circle D Ranch: Research was found on the Disney website at: disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/tri-circle-d-ranch/ Other info came from signs posted at the ranch. ________________________________________ Fort Wilderness Railroad: Please be gentle here. I know a lot of you professional Fort Wilderness folks out there maybe know way more than I. I did my research and composed a quick summarized script / voice over to keep that segment from being too long. There is so much history here! The tower at the Meadow Swimming pool I took the liberty to call that a tribute to the RR. Just the simple fact that it is a water tower with the RR insignia on it. It also had RR lanterns. So I don’t think I’m wrong in calling that a tribute, but enlighten me if I am. If its not, it is in my book! Research: Images, old film, and info - www.retrowdw.com/ Info and old film - fwrr.info I added 8MM film filters from my collection of effects to add to the old film look. Video location 19:58 Again FWRR pros please be gentle I know there are a lot of railroad ghosts that you can find around the fort, I just filmed the ones I knew about. When we were there I did not make it a priority to search out everything about the railroad. All my RR research was done after the filming when we got home. Please enlighten us by commenting further info. I encourage you, but please be gentle with me. When we visit next year it may be helpful and I’ll make mention of it then. I plan on getting deeper into that subject. ________________________________________ River Country: Images, and info - www.retrowdw.com/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney%27s_River_Country Video location 20:22 Again be gentle here. I did very limited research on the water park as this was not a focused area in the video. I may cover more about this next year as we revisit. ________________________________________ Affordable and very expensive activities at the fort: For this info I got it from the sign posted at the Bike Barn. Further info I got from - disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/recreation/ Mickey Tie Dyes video location 12:45 Full Canoe ride video location 24:08 ________________________________________ DVC mentioned on the outro: When I mention Disney Vacation Club (DVC) may be taking over the fort. This is a call to action as I like to know more from you. In the next video I will explain more about this. In general usually DVC members get priority, just from what I know. Please enlighten me if you know more about this subject. Video location 32:11 ________________________________________ Again we do encourage commenting but please be gentle as we are brand new to the Fort. If you can add any further info to any segment we have in this video please comment. It will help us learn what we should cover on our next video. After all you, the one that is on the ground and is a regular would be the best info! 😃Thank you for watching and thanks in advance for your comments and questions. We would be happy to answer any comment you have.

Another fantastic video! Thanks for sharing so many details. It looks like you had a great time there. I had no idea there was such a long train at Fort Wilderness. Can't wait for your next one!

Thank you! I appreciate the compliment! We did have a great time there! The train i learned about only a few months before we went and that was completely interesting. It’s unfortunate that the train didn’t last. I will have two more videos coming out on this series! We will be back there in late summer 2025 and i’ll find more stuff with another fort series. Great place!

Thanks for the video content. I had no idea they had the stables you could visit. We are going to Disney this month and this is on my list of things to do!

@@GlampReviewjust make sure it's not during the major holiday days as they close it for outside visitors.

@ oh thats interesting! Thanks for adding that! I have heard during Halloween they close the fort to only guest staying that the fort, could this be that too? So they also do this during Christmas too? Thanks for sharing!

Maybe it is closed for Thanksgiving day? Do you know if it is closed during the week of Thanksgiving?

What an awesome place to live! I have a niece and her family live only 15 minutes from Disney. We met up with her when we were there. Thanks again for watching!!!

The archery used to be fun but it's very slow and repetitive and keeps getting more expensive. We went in 2022 and it was $45. It was $40 before that. The Segway tour is something we would love to try but it's crazy how expensive it's gotten. By the way, great video and we love the Fort and have been many times with another trip coming up but these videos are great.

Everything is getting expensive everywhere now. I would love the Segway tour too but the price. That better be a long tour for 90.00. 🤣 Archery may be a one and done thing then 😁 Thanks for commenting! And watching!

Thank you for the compliment! We love the fort too. If I had more money i’d be there more often! We got a trip planned for next year again because we had such a great time! These videos have been fun making and reliving our trip through these!

Still can't believe they used to have a water park there
@GlampReview2 ай бұрын
If you look at old photos from that water park it’s a wonder why no-one got killed 🤣 It showed multiple people sliding down slides at the same time all haphazardly! 🤣 its amazing it lasted as long ad it did. You don’t see any of that at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. I wonder though did someone sue and that was the reason for the closure??? Thanks for watching!
@buster56612 ай бұрын
@@GlampReview you could say the same thing about slides at a playground. i believe it closed because someone got sick and died and then they got bad press
@GlampReview2 ай бұрын
I thought I read that It was a water quality issue because the water park used water from the lake which probably had some bacteria.
