Jomo Kenyatta International Airport formerly known as Embakasi Airport is Kenya's largest aviation facility and the busiest Airport in East Africa.
The Airport has seen so many face-lifts and upgrades in the recent past giving it a brand new look.
Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Africa’s premier hub and ideal gateway into and out of East and Central Africa. JKIA is the flagship airport of The KAA. The airport boasts of over 40 passenger airlines and 25 cargo airlines.
The total number of passengers handled increased by 16.8 percent from 10.1 million in 2017 to 11.8 million in 2018. Domestic and international passengers handled increased by 22.5 per cent and 13.1 per cent, respectively, in 2018.

JKIA needs to be expanded and a second runway built if we are to remain competitive in our region! Right now Ethiopia Airlines 🇪🇹 is already far ahead of KQ and Tz and Rwanda are building bigger airports 😢

Ok your comfy seat segment has made me consider using this airline again . I last used it in 2018 from Lusaka to London and it was terrible! The lounge was cramped , horrible seats I felt like I’m in a holding area trying to seek asylum in Kenya 😂! I swore never again so that’s why I use Emirates and Qatar BUT the price point is£300 difference… money I can use while in Lusaka so I think I may use this airline once again . I’ve seen food , comfy seats though no mention of free WiFi . Did they have free WiFi ? My layover may not be more than 3 hrs
