there's prob a phone box in case there's no reception, which happens alot in rural areas.

🇺🇸Sadly, "homely" in American English means ugly. We say "homey" instead to denote cozy (American spelling).

As a Brit living in the USA for many years, I always mixed these two words up. If I told a friend that her cosy home was ‘ homely’ it would cause a misunderstanding.
