Every day more people flee their homes - and often have to flee again.
Tens of thousands more Gazans have become refugees as fighting intensifies across the centre and south, driving families closer to the Egyptian border. With limited space, many live in makeshift tents, prompting warnings from the World Health Organization of an impending humanitarian catastrophe.
Israel won't allow international journalists into Gaza to report first hand - but Yousef Hammash, a Gazan film maker and advocacy officer for the Norwegian Refugee Council, has sent us his eyewitness account of life in the southern town of Rafah.

@HarryBolsak If you Google 'Gaza calorie control', you will find many sources. I became interested in the Palestinian issues years ago after seeing a travel series where Gaza was visited. After asking a fisherman to take him out to show there was no fish in the sea, the boat was shot at by Israeli ships and they had to get to shore fast. Sadly in recent years, Israel stopped visits into Gaza.

The analogy that it's a open air prison doesn't hold up either. It's an inappropriate analogy for the situation as it ignores many obvious nuances. For instance, Israel and Palestine are at war with each other. Of course, there are plenty more, but let's see if you can practice some critical thinking and see if you can think of any others. The biggest thing for me is the fact that you cannot be gay. Doesn't sound very prison-like to me.
