The -e really depends on the terminal emulator you're using in Linux. Some terminal emulators use -x instead of -e.

Thanks for the clarification. Same principle applies, though. If you are wondering why your converted shell script doesn't call up the Terminal, look for that extra switch that Haiku doesn't understand.
