INSIDE HCSO: Criminal Intelligence Division

The Criminal Intelligence Division (CID) is made up of several units including the Criminal Information Sharing and Analysis (CISA) unit, the High Intensity Drug Traffic Area (HIDTA), and the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office SHIELD Program.
Through analysis and technology the HCSO can communicate with other law enforcement agencies locally and across the country to find fugitives and bring justice to victims.
The CID is always pioneering new strategies and techniques through digital tracking, criminal science and analysis, to stay two steps ahead of criminals.
