Fantastic season, Jennifer Jason-Leigh was great, John Hamm was malevolence personified, Juno was incredible, and Sam stole every scene he was in. Gator reminded me so much of guys here in Texas, and everyone else was just fantastic. Great job. I hope you guys all win Emmys. 😻😻😻😻😻😻

I personally love them all except season 4 and even episode 7 or 8 I think it is in that season was good, albeit for it to fall flat on its face. I agree with people's takes that it's not now what it was before thematically, but what it is now IS still very Coen esque I'd say... whatever that is lol. Took me a few episodes and Ole Munch to come around but when I did, I really enjoyed the pacing and outcomes of the storylines. Can't wait for Noah Hawley's next season, providing he does one.

In the shoot off at the beginning (1:42) between Roy and the wife beater, the former fires AFTER he’s been shot at but doesn’t take any damage. Watch it slow. Wife beater dude shoots first, and right at Roy’s torso, but nothing hits Roy. No bullet holes, no reaction. It feels like that scene in Pulp Fiction where Sam Jackson should have died but he knew God protected him or whatever lol

The sheriff won't let the FBI on the property is a great part. Even though they mention Mr. Trump as to the bullying, actually, the issue of not enforcing the law, the comparison of the tyrant stigma, etc. the gist of the show points an evil finger toward the Biden administration/regime.

Roy isn't meant to be comparable to Lorne Malvo. Roy is a deconstruction of the Sheriff Bell's (the sheriff from No Country For Old Men) conception of the sheriff as the moral pillar of justice, that there was a time when the law man of principle didn't let evil-doers get away with their crimes. Here, Sheriff Roy cloaks himself in righteousness when he's really just a bully whose main motivator is just to sate his ego. And this is not a recent phenomenon. Sheriffs have been doing these things throughout American history, especially out West. The sovereign citizen sheriff of the west really is just a big baby in cowboy hat.

Just watch the season and well i dont know how to feel about it. Its got the "message" all the way through it which does annoy me alot , the first few episodes are entertaining i suppose, its basically home alone 3. It then starts to go way over the top to comical levels as the series progresses. I know they were trying to capture the Coen Brothers style by doing that but they miss the mark because they are not the Coen brothers and it becomes a pure comedy for me. Entertaining mix of weirdly- Home alone, austin powers, no country for old men, highlander and a few others. Its alright i suppose.

All though I enjoyed this season quite a bit, I think a lot of people are tired of having the woke ideology and "toxic masculinity" stuff shoved down their throats. It doesn't make you some kind of rabid Trump supporter to be tired of it. It's ironic that this season made so many call back to the film, because Marge Gunderson was portrayed as equal, if not superior, to her male counterparts and was not treated like a victim in the process. That said, I do appreciate the inclusion of positive male characters this season like Wayne and Witt who were courageous and supportive.

I was enjoying it, but then realized they ruined it by having a low-T manlet lecture me about toxic masculinity. Has nobody noticed that EVERY season has the weakest men in history cowed by a better woman with NO flaws? Somehow, they outthink, out muscle, or out shoot the guys coming after them. Dot can knock around a guy twice her size with a shovel and swing a bag of ice with enough force to make an MLB player envious, despite being a housewife for a decade. Aren't you tired of being talked down to by these people yet?

Spoilers alert ......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................At first the finale seemed rushed and unsatisfying to me, (with Whit dead and Roy alive, that was not the ending I wanted) and then I checked the clock and it was only half over. I was thinking, what are they gonna do with this last half hour? Was the first half hour just another dream sequence, and now we will get the REAL ending? But the last half hour completely redeemed it. Lorraine brought Roy the justice I sought, and the last scene with Ole at Dot's house was just beautiful. If I could have changed just one thing, I wish Whit would have at least gotten one good shot in. At least let him wound Roy. Taking him out without letting him get even one shot in, that was rough. They did my man Whit dirty there. He wasn't just a red shirt. But I saw it coming. When he joined that armored and helmeted squad of feds storming the compound last week, and him basically naked with no protection, I even said, do they not have any spare body armor for Whit Farr? Can someone give Whit a vest?
@sabahbubbler
@sabahbubbler Жыл бұрын
They didn't expect an extra personnel to join and Wayne was is state trooper, don't think he's given vest by his station. I don't think they have extra vest lying around. He knew the risk and went it. He's too kind and wanted to apprehend Roy properly, if not he would've and should've shot Roy when he had a chance. He's not Roy, he's Farr from it
