Women in Iran have been protesting against compulsory veiling since September, with over 200 protesters reportedly killed in the clashes. Around the world, demonstrations have been held in solidarity.
Subscribe to Journeyman here: kzbin.info_c...
The protests raging in Iran primarily target compulsory veiling - but the movement calls for systemic change, according to protester Asal: 'There is a lot of anger hidden in society. ... It's not just a protest. This is the beginning of a revolution'. Protesters risk their lives in demonstrating against the government, with over 200 reportedly killed. This loss of life has fuelled further rage - such as the murder of 16-year old Nika. 'It was supposed to be your birthday today, sweetheart. Bu instead we are celebrating your martyrdom!' - rallying yet tragic words from Nika's mother at her daughter's funeral. Worldwide, many women are also taking part in demonstrations: 'It is to show our solidarity with the Iranians, who have been on the streets for more than 22 days for their basic rights', explains Switzerland-based Iranian artist Shiva.

Stephen Ferris sadly, your 'imaginary friend' isn't with anyone, and if he did exist, he clearly couldn't care less. Perhaps you could offer some meaningless prayers to make you feel as if you are helping in some small way? Islam is doing what the Catholic church used to do, but they don't burn people alive, they just stone them to death! Same deity, different methods employed to keep complete control over stupid believers. The 'supreme leader' protects the morality police, in the same way the pope protects child abusers, everything is done in the name of a mythical god. History will continue to repeat itself until everyone gives up belief......

In many areas of their lives, including in marriage, divorce, employment, and culture, Iranian women are either restricted or need permission from their husbands or paternal guardians, depriving them of their autonomy and human dignity. On top of that, some things are totally barbaric, for instance, apostasy is, in accordance with Islamic Law as applied in Iran, punishable by death or a lifetime of imprisonment, depending on the particular circumstances of the case. It is the so-called "hudud crime", which means it is a crime against God, and the punishment has been fixed by God. The punishment for apostasy includes state-enforced annulment of his or her marriage, seizure of the person's children and property with an automatic assignment to guardians and heirs, and death for the apostate. Since 1999, Iran has been designated as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) under the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998 for having engaged in or tolerated particularly severe violations of religious freedom. On November 15, 2021, the Secretary of State redesignated Iran as a CPC.

@UC8ktWO_0DXGJaEe1L-xEalg You are joking, right? Democracy died in Iran in 1953, or, to be exact, on 19 August 1953 when democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh was overthrown in favor of strengthening the monarchical rule of the Shah, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. After the ousting of the Shah, during the last 40 years, the Iranian people have been subjugated by an oppressive theocracy called the “Islamic Republic,” with a religious “Supreme Leader” overseeing all aspects of Iranian life. Sure, the Iranian people voted in a national referendum to become an Islamic republic on 1 April 1979 and to formulate and approve a new theocratic-republican constitution whereby Khomeini became the supreme leader of the country in December 1979. So you can argue that people wanted that weird hymera, but they had no idea what will happen...Iran's government is an Islamic republic. In theory, it mixes the features of Islamic theocracy (rule by religious officials) and democracy. In practice, the democratic elements within the system hardly function because the ruling oligarchy, led by Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, manipulates the electoral process to its favor. So, who rules, or controls Iran? Iran is controlled by an oligarchy of Shia Muslim clerics led by Ali Khamenei. Ali Khamenei has been the country's Supreme Leader since 1989. And who runs Iran's government? Iran's government is controlled by two figures: the indirectly elected Supreme Leader and the directly elected president. The Supreme Leader (Ali Khamenei since 1989) is in a more powerful position, as he directly controls domestic security, defense, and foreign affairs. Iranians, have to live in a state controlled by a totalitarian regime where women have very few rights, where most of the law is that thing Sharia which is not exactly law, and it sure is not suitable for the 21century. Lifting the embargo??? The Islamic regime in Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terror. For over 40 years their malign behavior and support for terrorist proxies has spread across the region. That, combined with the publicly said wish of that regime to make nuclear weapons and to use them first and foremost on Israel is the reason why JCPOA was created, informally known as the “2015 Iran Nuclear Deal,” placed even more resources and money at the regime’s disposal, furthering the reach and aggression of their malign activities. This is why the United States left the JCPOA and implemented decisive sanctions to curb the regime’s ability to fund terror. On August 20, 2020, the United States initiated the snapback procedure in UN Security Council resolution 2231 to return virtually all of the previous UN sanctions on Iran, including the UN arms embargo and restrictions on Iran enriching and processing nuclear material. Starting on September 20, 2020, Iran is also prohibited by the UN from testing and developing ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear weapons. I cannot imagine why someone is defending such an inhuman regime, with "moral police", something that sounds like the thought police explained in the novel 1984 by George Orwell, police that killed that woman by bashing her head in that police wagon, just because she wasn't wearing a scarf as they, with their incredible moral police wanted. That is disgusting, primitive, a sign of the worst kind of regime that can be compared with Nazi Germany or the Stalinistic Soviet Union... The only difference is the ideology...

Third is non-participation. Women you need to stop doing essential things for the government and for men to show that you’re not gonna be pushed around and you’re going to strike in and stop working to show how important women are to the economy this should probably be done simultaneously throughout the country at a crucial time of day

It is amazing how religion can make people so blind, throughout history religions have shown that their doctrines usually are in conflict with human nature. The problem is that the Iranian people will not succeed without outside support. But I think Russia will support the Iranian regime, because it needs its weapons for the war. The surrounding countries will not help the Iranian people because they have similar regimes that oppress women. Europe is very busy looking for sources of energy financing and trying to help Ukraine. I don't know what the US will do. Who will help the Iranian people from outside? We can imagine, but we won't know for sure. May the Iranian people, women and men, find more freedom and justice, may the human rights of women and men be recognized.

Isaiah 13:4-6 [4]A sound of tumult on the mountains, Like that of many people! A sound of the uproar of kingdoms, Of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts is mustering the army for battle. [5]They are coming from a far country, From the farthest horizons, The Lord and His instruments of indignation, To destroy the whole land. Judgment on the Day of the L ord [6]Wail, for the day of the Lord is near! It will come as destruction from the Almighty.

World is good example, now some countries facing recession, natural disasters still patiently dealing - Please people of Iran be friends 👫 Islam ☪️ allows freedom & men/women can unilaterally deal & settle matters - Allah ho Akbar This life is test for mankind. Satan can deviate men/women. We see crores of people Satan deviated from right path. Everyone is accountable before God. So fear of God is the beginning of all wisdom. Well wishing for all

We just realized we don’t like it, but if you do like it, then I’m happy for you, truly am. And most of my people no longer believe in Islam but we don’t question people who do or are Muslim, as long as they don’t question our choice!

Hi mate. Is it important to be first or why people often write "First". Its useless isnt it? 🙂

I'm not sure @@FilipeCzech1986 that you are not just going to get anything but proof of the absence of mature mental fortitude for an answer. Someone who sees this kinda content and acts like they have sibling parents and "first" is their sole and immediate 💭 do you honestly expect some sort of tangible insight reasoning from that same psyche ? Is like asking a dog why they chew up mail or chase cars.

@@xn9333 On and on? You mean, I write more, and that is why he is "at least" better, cooler, smarter? First, why is there a comment section? For writing such a thing, "first!"? That is what children do in kindergarten or 1st class... No, when I write, I have something to say. Second, if you think I go so much "on and on"...well, stop reading... It's not like I put a gun to your forehead and forced you to read so much text... That is way too much for you? Well, stop reading, some people actually want to know and to make conversation about the video and the topic. If you prefer infantile comments like "first!", "second!", "third!", in that case, read only those "comments" I am sure that person with his "first," said so much more than me about the situation in Iran...

“Jesus said to him: ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”-John 14:6, Our Muslim brothers, We, Christians, all over the world, are all praying for you that you may see the light and turn to Jesus for he gives eternal life to those who follows him. Jesus loves you. Matthew 11: 28, 29, "28 Come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh you. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart,+ and you will find refreshment for yourselves.* 30 For my yoke is kindly,* and my load is light.” -- love from USofA and Israel.

I advice Iranian people to read Mathew 18: 15 to 2o words of God and call upon Lord Jesus to come between the Iranian people and get Divine Help from the Lord Jesus and our Father in heaven to liberate you from the ruling evil regime.
