Inside kinda Abandoned Sears Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL *repuporsed* 4K 60 FPS

The Sears in Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois opened in 1971 and it closed in November 14, 2021. It was the final location in the Chicago area and the entire state of Illinois in 2021 and 2020. The store was open for 50 years and now it’s abandoned kind of half abandoned because 2 new stores moved in a furniture store in the lower level and a Primark store in the upper level. Primark came in on October 2023 and the furniture store on the lower level recently open in the summer 2024. If you walked into Primark from the second floor through the mall entrance and walked all the way to the back of the store and look up, you can see an old elevator pulley system. I have a video if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hInFZmewiKp0opo

@@LeoPlaysMCElevators oh nice I didn’t know that the Sears in Woodfield Mall had an old elevator in the back of the store. Because in the lower level a new furniture store moved in and the old elevator for the store is still there but it’s blocked off and they boarded it up the call button and escalators are gone, but the skylight in the ceiling where the escalators were is still there but thank you for noticing of an old elevator being there! And I will check your video out And see what I missed out when I was at Woodfield Mall at Primark

@@freddyflores9958 That old elevator was removed in 1995 when the store was renovated. The elevator you showed in your video was the new elevator which was added in 1995.

@@LuxEv. yeah I’ve been there since the beginning of August. It’s surprising that the whole building in the lower level is still in use and it has the exact same Sears layout but the upper level has been redeveloped and remodeled for a new store, which is Primark. It’s surprising that Woodfield Mall decided to use the Sears building for new businesses to move in not just sitting abandoned for so many years just like the one the Sears in Orland Square in Orland Park. It was going to be an AMC theater, but it never happened.

@@LuxEv.yeah I agree just the lights are off and they pretty much demolished the inside like the ceiling tiles and their lights and their flooring is gone like it looks like they’re doing some construction in the inside. I don’t know if AMC theater is going to happen or they’re going to redevelop the inside or new shops and businesses will be going in, but it was just sitting abandoned since April 2018
