Not sure who created the promotional video, the Italian architectural firm or the Saudis or some KZbinr... but 3:13 the idea of a business jet taking off and landing on this thing is ludicrous and indicates zero knowledge of airplanes. For a jet like that you would need a minimum of 5,000 feet of straight runway to have any semblance of safe operations.

I'm a little skeptical of everything that comes out of the Arabian peninsula, all their projects look like they came out of the mind of a twelve year old that is desperate for attention and doesn't know quite yet how the world actually works, on the other hand i love the approach that the Dutch and the Koreans are taking on the Floating city concept.

How do dry dock it and build it like the turtle design what if module built think 6 Carribbean cruise ships connected at end stage and disconnect for dry dock or where going here in the Mediterranean and your going there in the med ok meet back here in a week or too. We built one before it's time it was called four seasons great barrier Reef it delivered by heavy lift ship but couldn't move around on it's own move to safe harbouring. How many island resorts get wiped out each year some rebuilt at a big cost or just walked a way from if you reduce the fuel cost for a cruise ship by just heading out and coming back or something similar don't worry about the lost revenue on oil if developed nations reduce then the development of others will be a new market.

Let's see they claim it's going to cost 7 billion. Judging by the incompetence shown by the number of design flaws in the models I'd estimate it's going to cost 20 billion. There is room for like 500 villas max. 20.000.000.000 divided by 500 = 40.000.000 per villa. Divide that number by I dunno 20 so some investor could break in 20 years. 2 million per year. Divide by 12... Prolly around 200.000 a month.
